We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).
Here are the deets:
- PRIZE: One Galbraith & Paul pendant (priced up to $449) from Room & Board
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M BOARD” and…
- BONUS QUESTION: … if you could pick any room in your house to magically be more illuminated and full of light, what space would that be? Your basement? A closet? A tiny half bathroom?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 13th at 8pm EST
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

I’M BOARD! Our dining area is seriously lacking in the lighting area. Not sure what the heck the previous owners were thinking with the silly lighting in there. :-p Thanks for the chance to win!

I’m BOARD! These pendants are so cool.
My office desperately needs more light. But I’d use the pendant over a dining room or kitchen table.
Laurén Bienvenue says
I’m booorreeddd. I’d put it right over the dining room table to replace the boring (and small) spotlights that came with the apartment!

I’M BOARD! Very cool… one of these would be perfect in our living area.
Joanie says
I’M BOARD!
Easy question. I’d put it in the living room in a heartbeat. We live in a big open loft with great lighting everywhere, but the fixture-less living room is like a black hole. No one wants to go in there after dark.
Paige says
I’m BOARD!! And would love a fun light for our basement room with no windows!!
Mandy Pedersen says
I’m Board!
Our living room is the last room we need to tackle in our new (old) house…. the lighting right now is one lonely and dim ceiling fixture. We joke about the lack of brightness, but seriously need to update our lighting!
Briana says
I’M BOARD and the stripped one would look just perfect in our dining area. We’ve been hunting for a great pendant lamp there anyways.
If I could fill any room with light it would be our office. It’s just so dark without any direct access to windows!

Our downstairs full bath needs light like whoa. It has no windows and the tile is black. Pity us.

Our kitchen needs some lighting help for sure – we just closed in a wall & it only has one little window with a huge shade tree over it.
Julia says
I’m Board! My dining room needs more light for sure!

Courtney says
I’M BORED! My living room desperately needs lighting help. If we need to see anything in the light we have to move to the dining room or kitchen as the little lamp in the living room just does not cut it! I love these pendants!!! Thanks for featuring.

I’M BOARD …
and I would totally light up our playroom. It is a long living room turned into a playroom and the lone ceiling fixture is on one end, not in the middle. The other end could use some brightening!
Jenny B says
I’M BOARD!!
I would light up our living room- there is no overhead lighting, and our two lamps just aren’t cutting it
Emily says
I’m BOARD!
I’d light up our master bedroom – no ceiling lights in any of our bedrooms makes for some dark spaces.
Colleen says
I’m Board!
I would love to illuminate my pantry! There is no light in there, and it is impossible to find things without turning the hall lights on to even get a little light.

I’m board with my new place in San Francisco, missing Chicago desperately and need something new to give it (and my spirits) a lift.

And I’ve been eying these babies for my dining room! However, the sorely lacking budget has been holding me back. I would be so happy to replace that ugly brass chandy.

Lauren says
I’m BOARD!!!! I wish my master bath would be magically filled with light so I could actually see what I am doing as I apply my face!

Tiffini S. says
I’M BOARD…
Well, I do have one terribly dark closet (the one I keep my clothes in, which lives in our sons room). But just the other day I was lamenting that my nearing 40 eyeballs never seem to have enough light during non-daylight hours. I had lasic a few years back and that is holding up well. But previously I could read by the light of a dimmish bulb. Now I need blazing bulbs in every room!
But one of these awesomely bodacious lights would go up over my dining room table to replace the atrocious Tiffany (yes, kinda like my name) style lamp up there now. Ergh.
audrey says
I’m Board! New lights in the living room would be amazing.
jen says
I’m board! I’d use it in our dining area. We don’t have overhead fixtures in our condo. This would be a wonderful addition.

I’M BOARD! We also have a long living room. Ours has a dining table in it and definitely needs some sort of lamp to define the space.
