Fab Freebie: Light Up A Room (& Board)

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – scroll down to see who won!***

We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).

Room Board Pendants

Here are the deets:

  • PRIZE: One Galbraith & Paul pendant (priced up to $449) from Room & Board
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “I’M BOARD” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … if you could pick any room in your house to magically be more illuminated and full of light, what space would that be? Your basement? A closet? A tiny half bathroom?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, October 13th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The 48 contiguous United States
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here Thursday morning for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

******************************

This giveaway’s random winner is… Liz Zankowski (who’s loved these pendants so long that she was excited just at the chance to win). Well, now you’ve won – congrats!

And everyone else can take advantage of Room & Board’s Designer Lighting Event. You can score 15% off Modernica, Flos and Pablo lighting now through Oct 19th.

Note: We weren’t paid or perk’d for hosting this giveaway, we just take them on to reward our lovely readers! See our Giveaway FAQs page for more info. Pics from Room & Board.

    “I’M BOARD”

My living room. It has a giant picture window which is nice during the day, but it has zero overhead lighting for at night. Most of the people in this neighborhood (with similar floor plans) have their television in that room, so I guess that’s enough illumination at night? Beats me, but that’s exactly where this pendant shade would go if I win!

“I’M BOARD” with our current light fixture in our dining room. I’m confident one of those fixtures would look FABULOUS hanging in our house. If I could add more light to one place in our house, it would be our coat closet. I can’t find anything in there because it’s so dark!

I would love to add a very pretty pendant light to my walk in closet…or a babies room. I have two boys and am hoping to someday have a girl because I have thousands of ideas for a girls room (and because I’d love to have daughter too.)!

I’M BOARD! I would choose our basement since it is dark and dingy…we are in the middle of a reno down there and I wish it wasn’t such a hassle to add more windows, but alas a brick house is a hard one to ‘just add a window there’ :)

I’M BOARD!!! My kitchen/dining room could use some more light. Our cafe latte paint color turned out to be more of a milk chocolate color! We are stuck with it for the time being because it has cathedral ceilings and we had to hire someo…ne to paint it – we could not get up there that high without some staging! But we have poor lighting in there to begin with so that is why that would be the room I’d want most illuminated.

Thanks for the chance to win these pendants! LOVE THEM!! Just got a double tiered one for our entryway!

Oh I love your ideas, you get me motivated and get my mojo going. The last thing I am is BOARD. I’M not BOARD when reading all of your ideas. A new light fixture from Room and Board would complete my bedroom! I recently purchased a tufted headboard. My house was built in 1926, we have slowly been re-doing each room…this light fixture would be like icing on the cake. I’m not board!!! I love designing! Have a great day!

I’M BOARD! Our living room survives on two windows, a tiny lamp on top of the piano and the light that comes from the adjoining dining room and entryway. It’s pitiful and desperately needs some light of its own!
