Fab Freebie: Light Up A Room (& Board)

We were so pumped when Room & Board wrote to us about doing a giveaway. Their furniture and accessories are practically the epitome of the clean-lined, comfortable-yet-sophisticated, natural-material-ed (?) aesthetic that we love. And while there’s plenty to ogle over on their site, one of their Galbraith & Paul pendant lights is officially up for grabs. There are a wide variety of graphic pattern-happy designs, so follow this link to hunt down your favorite (and we completely understand if you get sidetracked by all of the pillows while you’re there).

    I’M BOARD!

    If I could pick a room to light up with one of these gorgeous lights, it would definitely have to be our great room. There aren’t any large lights in there, just a lamp and some recessed lighting in the back. It’s so dark at night, not suitable to do much of anything but watch TV. So this would be an awesome prize for us, then we could finally enjoy each others company without the glow of the TV! :)

    I’M BOARDDDD!!!

    I would love to lighten up our kitchen…we recently purchased our home and the kitchen has one of those terrible flat rectangular florescent light fixtures from the 80s. It has to go!!

    My closet, hands down. It’s a funky shaped tiny walk in with a tiny door and literally no light! I have to find my clothes by feel!

    I’m Board! What a fabulous giveaway! I remember the first time I saw Room and Board was actually on Oprah. I requested the catalogue immediately. They have wonderful things.
    I have a very dark strange nook hallway area with very tall ceilings. Our house is 110 years old and this part of the house has lots of interesting detail but no light…

    I’d brighten up my living room!!! We have to keep the blinds pretty much closed so the row of 5 houses behind us don’t see us in our skimpys so I’d love a way to brighten’er up!

    I’M BOARD…..I know one the diamond pendant light would look amazing over my dining table! I really need lighting in my dark kitchen especially now that the days are getting shorter and there is no natural light when I am making dinner!

    My dining room table! Right now we use the can lights that are for the kitchen-it is so unromantic and too bright for entertaining. I need a warm beautiful light to light up my life:)

    I’M BOARD! OMG! I LOVE Galbraith & Paul! Their designs are exactly my style. If I could ensconce myself in G&P, I would. And they’re in Philly! (so am I)

    If I could totally redo the lighting in our house, I would lose the horrible drop ceiling tiles and office-park fluorescent light in our tiny bathroom. Yes, you read that right. It’s totally hideous! However, we rent a 150+ year-old house so, rewiring is pretty much out of the question and there’s only one outlet in the whole 4×7 room. The perfect spot for a G&P smokebrush medium orange pendant would be our kitchen or maybe our living room.

    Love these lamps. And Room & Board. I would light up my pantry. There’s not a single light in there so it’s hard to find junk food at night when I need a snack. Probably a sign from God…
