RAIN ON ME! Considering that right now we’re living in a 6 month rainy season in Guatemala, we can’t let it get to us and interrupt our daily lives! Instead we try to carry on as usual and often end up scampering home from somewhere, hiding under overhangs and dodging rain spouts. Generally by the time we get home we’re drenched from head to toe, so we change into something dry and watch a pirated movie from the market while drinking Guatemalan hot chocolate!

On a rainy day, we like to hang out on the couch, watch movies and snooze. Lazy!
Thought I would share another way we conserve water in our house (which we learned from friends). We keep a bucket in our shower to catch all the wasted water that falls while we wait for the shower water to warm up. Between my husband and I, we get a full bucket a day that we then use to water some of the outside plants.
