Rain on me! I used to love naps on rainy days…hmmm…those were the days. Now I get out shaving cream and paint for my daughter to play with (shaving cream last, a great way to clean off a messy table and leave it smelling like your guy, yum!)

The best way to celebrate a rainy day is by taking a loooong walk in it, coming inside, putting on new (dry) socks and lazing around watching movies and eating grilled cheese on the couch. Oooh, and it’s always a good time to make sure the car is sitting outside somewhere since that’s about the only time it gets washed.

Rainy days are the perfect time to turn off the TV and curl up next to the window with one of my favorite books. Anything that’s quiet and relaxing is perfect: knitting, reading, sewing, finishing up little projects around the house…I always feel more creative on rainy days. It’s just so peaceful. Rainy days are some of THE BEST days of my life. If I am able to avoid working that day, I love snuggling under the covers for just one more hour of sleep, calling an old friend to catch up with her, and attempting to devour a good book that takes me away from all my stresses.
