RAIN ON ME! Hubby and I were just talking about getting one this weekend. Favorite thing I like to do when it is raining is sit on the porch with a good book, as long as it’s not raining sideways! :) If it’s sprinkling I let the kids run around in it during the summer and yeah I go out there too.

RAIN ON ME!!! I saw a HUGE rain barrel this weekend and tried to convince my husband to get it but no luck… When I have a bad day I tend to go get my hair cut :) Bad thing to do on a rainy day when your down.

I live in DC and I started a group with some friends called “CarbonfreeDC.” We entered a National Geographic contest to win $20,000 for a “green effect” in our community. We’re now in the top 10 and waiting to see if we win. Our plan is to use the money to “green” 20 low-income homes in DC. I would totally add this rain barrel to one of the homes. We live in San Francisco, and although it doesn’t officially rain very often, the fog condenses on EVERYTHING overnight, then “rains” the next morning. Our downspouts are always pouring forth the fog, so it would be so great to be able to collect it in our water-challenged area!
When it actually rains, I love to take our dog out to walk and to play. I can’t get enough of it. Honestly. Also wonderful is standing under the eucalyptus trees in the morning for some of their fog-rain.
