An early Christmas present (in the form of this $500 Visa gift card) has randomly chosen to come to the hands of… Mary (whose dream house would be a “big cozy log cabin out in the woods” complete with fishing pond, swimming pool, hot tub, huge whirlpool tub in her bathroom and a giant walk in closet. Her fantasy list doesn’t end there, so check out her comment for the rest). Congrats Mary!
With a URL as broad as Homes.com, there are a lot of topics you might think they cover. Because people buy homes. They decorate homes. They do home improvements. You get the idea. Well, Homes.com does cover all of those things – from all stages of the home buying process to decor and DIY. We especially enjoyed their home values and city profiles (because we’re nerds for stuff like that). But what you’ll probably enjoy the most is the chance to win a $500 Visa gift card from Homes.com this week. Yup, five hundred dolla dolla bills (in plastic form) to spend wherever you’d like for whatever stage of home ownership you’re currently enjoying. Oh yeah, and they’re also giving away a signed copy of our book over on their blog.

I would love a huge walk in closet with tons of shelves, built in drawers, french pull outs for shoes, and an island.
Tia says
HOMES ME!!!
I would definetly look for a finished basement or a sunroom/screened in porch. Either one of those would be a great bonus to increase the space and add entertaining areas to the house at the same time.
emily says
homes me! updated bathrooms! sadly the home still has it’s original to the house 1973/outdated bathrooms! :(

Randie says
Homes Me! If I were planning on buying a new home today, I would definitely choose a top-notch neighborhood. I love my house now, but hate my neighborhood and can’t wait to get out.

HOMES ME!!
If I were to buy a home, I would choose one with a little less “fix ’em up” needed. The home I bought this summer was functional, but cosmetically in need of a lot of love, and even some of the function I’m finding needs updating also. I will say that I got it for a good price and was looking forward to doing the work myself but the bloom has faded off that rose!!

We really do love the house we are in now but I think I’d like a little more furniture to fill it up! Moving from an apartment to 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths means a lot of furniture to buy. Hoping we can with the $500 to start filling up our house that we love!
Sandra says
HOMES ME!
If I were to buy a new home, it must have a carport or garage and enough room/sun for a vegetable garden.
Kristin says
Homes me!! Definitely open concept kitchen and family room, so I don’t feel stuck in the kitchen :). The possibilities with $500 extra dollars!!!

Miranda says
HOMES ME! A must have would be a fenced in back yard for our 2 dogs. It is such a pain to have to take them outside one at a time on a leash. With a fenced in yard, we could let them have their playtime outside, instead of in the living room.
Brooke says
Homes me! I would want a Hollywood style closet…with the clothes included!
Catherine Davis says
Homes me!
We’d love more land next time around.
Julie says
HOMES ME! And if I were to buy another house right now, it would HAVE to have at least two bathrooms. We are a family of seven, living and making do with just one bathroom. Whomp. Whomp.
Liz Henderson says
Homes Me! Oh, a house with a bedroom for each kid!
