Fab Freebie: Homes On Homepage

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below! ***

An early Christmas present (in the form of this $500 Visa gift card) has randomly chosen to come to the hands of… Mary (whose dream house would be a “big cozy log cabin out in the woods” complete with fishing pond, swimming pool, hot tub, huge whirlpool tub in her bathroom and a giant walk in closet. Her fantasy list doesn’t end there, so check out her comment for the rest). Congrats Mary!

With a URL as broad as Homes.com, there are a lot of topics you might think they cover. Because people buy homes. They decorate homes. They do home improvements. You get the idea. Well, Homes.com does cover all of those things – from all stages of the home buying process to decor and DIY. We especially enjoyed their home values and city profiles (because we’re nerds for stuff like that). But what you’ll probably enjoy the most is the chance to win a $500 Visa gift card from Homes.com this week. Yup, five hundred dolla dolla bills (in plastic form) to spend wherever you’d like for whatever stage of home ownership you’re currently enjoying. Oh yeah, and they’re also giving away a signed copy of our book over on their blog.

    HOME ME!

More square footage and a nice big yard (with a pool, if possible). Our dog would love a big yard to play in. he gets jealous of his cousin’s yard so it’d be great to give him his very own :)

HOMES ME!! I would look for a house with a bigger living area. Our house now has a joint living/dining space that’s not quite big enough, but everything else about the house is perfect-big yard, great neighborhood, nice basement-so for now the little living space will work.

    HOMES ME! Please!

We just bought out first home in September and are currently working on a new DIY kitchen which is getting the best of me and my checkbook. If we could do it all over again, I’d have to have a kitchen that would is already done and done right. That and white trim :) I sacrificed that for this house so know I’m looking to paint all the trim. If my husband doesn’t lose his mind first

We’ve been looking at homes for over a year. Our top must haves include a finished basement or extra area on the main level for a playroom. We have a five and three year old and would love for them to have a separate space for toys and their craft supplies.
