Fab Freebie: Homes On Homepage

*** This giveaway is now closed. See who won below! ***

An early Christmas present (in the form of this $500 Visa gift card) has randomly chosen to come to the hands of… Mary (whose dream house would be a “big cozy log cabin out in the woods” complete with fishing pond, swimming pool, hot tub, huge whirlpool tub in her bathroom and a giant walk in closet. Her fantasy list doesn’t end there, so check out her comment for the rest). Congrats Mary!

With a URL as broad as Homes.com, there are a lot of topics you might think they cover. Because people buy homes. They decorate homes. They do home improvements. You get the idea. Well, Homes.com does cover all of those things – from all stages of the home buying process to decor and DIY. We especially enjoyed their home values and city profiles (because we’re nerds for stuff like that). But what you’ll probably enjoy the most is the chance to win a $500 Visa gift card from Homes.com this week. Yup, five hundred dolla dolla bills (in plastic form) to spend wherever you’d like for whatever stage of home ownership you’re currently enjoying. Oh yeah, and they’re also giving away a signed copy of our book over on their blog.

Homes Dot Com Giveaway

  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “HOMES ME!” and tell us…

  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, Dec 5th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: We always beg every vendor to ship internationally but some companies are not legally able to vend things beyond the US (more on that here). This giveaway is open to The United States & Canada.

    HOMES ME!

Oh, where do I start? I have to pick ONE thing? A big mud room/laundry room where all five of us can dump our stuff – coats, shoes, purses, boots, school bags, dance bags, library bags…we have a room that’s about big enough for two of us to crowd into right now. Totally useless!

HOMES ME! Its all about the location for me. If I were to buy a house today, it must be in the country. I miss the stars at night.

    HOMES ME!

I’d love a kitchen with more counter space. My home’s current layout does not allow for any changes, unless I spend many, many thousands on an addition.

HOMES ME! My one must-have is a nice kitchen. I’m hoping to buy my first house this year and I cannot afford to remodel right now, so I’m searching for a good kitchen.

“HOMES ME” I currently live in my dream home and love it however i love change, and my husband does not! I have been good for a few years and have only made small changes however i dream about adding a tile backsplash to my kitchen, painting one wall with chalkboard paint. adding trim around my fireplace, making my recessed ligting pendant lights with drum shades, I hate the color of our pool room…. i dream somone helps be from the purple blue haze i live in :) . I dream of painting my stair rail black, building a headboard for my spare room. Fixing up the kids game room, exercise room and paiting and adding new ligting to my bathroom and laundry room… so in a nut shell i am ready for change, redecorating, remodeling etc… whew i am going to be one tired girl if i am lucky enough to win,.., ps love your site you cant post fast enough for me LOL,

HOMES ME, Please? If I were to buy a new house today, I’d want a couple acres of property, and I’d LOVE to have that “in town” or pretty close to in town, even though I know that’s stretching it. And maybe, just maybe… real hardwood floors? Oh, my heart skips a beat at the thought.
