Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

Z Gallerie Holiday Prizes

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

Z Gallerie Our House

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

  • PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

For the longest time I thought Z Gallerie was only an online store until I went to California a few weeks ago for work… Needless to say, when we stumbled upon this store, I made my co-workers go in with me :-)

This year, we will be entertained at other people’s houses… We just got married and got our house in June, and we don’t have it in order have enough or have enough decorations to host a good enough party… Trying to accumulate them slowly!

I love being the host. We have a small place, so we make use of all available spaces. Coats on the bed, and cold drinks on ice in the tub! :D

Z Me! We are going to be guests this Christmas – although we would love to host, but our apartment is too small for our family… The best way to be a welcome guest is to help with the cooking and clean-up.

Z ME! I love to host and I love to go to other people’s houses. Unfortunately, I will not be hosting this year but when I do host, I like to make sure the guests have a little favor to take home that reflects the theme of my party. And when I go to a party, I like to take the host/hostess a little gift as I can never show up empty handed and I always send a little note afterwards to thank them for their hospitality.

I would love to entertain at my place but it is just too small! Hopefully someday I will have an apartment big enough to invite my entire family to but, for now, I am celebrate at my parent’s house. I love bringing baked goods or other dishes to parties. Not only does it help the hostess out but it also shows you put time and thought into your gift.

ZME! My family is coming to my husband and my new/newly self renovated home for our first married Christmas. We’ve worked for 9 months to tear down walls, pull up carpet, paint, build a bathroom ect ect…to make this house a home. I can’t wait to celebrate its completion over Christmas with our families!

My boyfriend and I hosted our first Thanksgiving ever on Thursday for his parents, sister and brother-in-law and their 4year old. It certainly gave me a greater appreciation for my mom and dad and all that they do to host—they host over 20 people on Thanksgiving and even more on Christmas Eve for our traditional Italian party complete with the “7 fishes”

I will have all my children home for Christmas. We will also have visiting 5 inside dogs, all under 12 months old, in the house. No Christmas tree for me. I am busy trying to decorate up high. My windows and crown molding will become my tree. Wish me luck!

We are hosting our first Christmas in the (semi) new apartment. We hosted Thanksgiving without a hitch last year, but you haven’t really hosted a holiday, I think, until you’ve done Christmas. We’re excited and hope to have some cute new ZG items to decorate the home with.

I usually do a big cookie baking session at my place, but this is a weird year in that I may be moving around the holidays, am planning my wedding and am hoping that the US government will finally let my English fiance move here – so this Christmas could be a weird one – we’ll see. Hopefully it will be fun nonetheless!

I’ll be “home” this year, but I’m expecting a baby right around Christmas, so may be in the hospital or back at home being taken care of.
My most used hostess trick is always having extra (new in packaging) toothbrushes in the house when having overnight guests. It’s shocking how many people forget theirs, and brushing with your finger is no fun at all.

We do holidays with my parents and with my in-laws…we live right between their houses (about half an hour each way) so our Christmas day involves packing the puppy and all the presents into the car and making the rounds!

BOTH! I host Christmas Eve and Christmas morning with my family but are also hosted at my in-laws (both sets as my husband’s parents are divorced but have both remarried!) so we have a lot of Christmas each year and we love it all! I love going all out when I host because my family is smaller and we can go all out without too much expense. My husband’s family is HUGE so we usually just eat off paper plates and sit wherever there is a bare spot on the floor! Either way we love the holidays and everyone we get to spend time with!

I love entertaining. Now that I have my own place, which is conveniently within an hour drive of any family gatherings, I have my brother and dad staying with me for all of them! I have board games & cards and frozen appetizers (for the times when I don’t have time or enough warning to cook) always at hand.

I plan to take full advantage of having just had a baby and let others cook! :) Guess that’s my tip – have a new baby at the holidays and then no one expects much of you.

I think one simple thing that gets neglected in entertaining or (better said) being entertained is to RSVP early. Don’t make people sit around and wonder if you are going to join the festivities. A quick response is often the sign that lets people know you care.

I love entertaining all year long, and will certainly have friends over this holiday season! My number one recommendation for any hosts/hostesses out there is to always have a bottle of champagne or prosecco, a box of crackers and a wedge of tasty cheese on hand – just in case!
