Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

Z Gallerie Holiday Prizes

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

Z Gallerie Our House

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

  • PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

Z me! (I got so excited about the question, I forgot to put that in!)

I love hosting people! One simple and easy tip that instantly makes a pitcher of water look really nice quickly is to drop some lemon or orange slices in the pitcher. Or some cucumber slices. A little weird, but it actually tastes really refreshing and looks so nice!

And I love to do it both ways!!! Since I love to decorate for the holidays, I love to have people over to show off the hard work. AND since I love holiday decorations, I love going to other folks’ houses to ooooh and aaaah over their decorations.

Good hostess: make everything comfy and touchable, don’t let food or drinks run dry.

Good guest: always bring a happy -tude and something yummy to share.

    Happy Holidays!

As much as we would LOVE to entertain the family at our home, it is not possible. Our kids/grandbabies, live 5 hours one way from us. We GO THERE, as we do not want our kids/grandbabies on the snowy pass, this time of year. We have a wonderful time each year, at our kids’ homes.
Tip: When the guest, do the dishes!!! Bring lots of homemade goodies, *as it is hard to get all those made, when you are hosting* THEY WILL LOVE YOU!!! ;-)

Z ME! Those are rad. Radradradradradrad. I always host Thanksgiving dinner, and Grandma always does Christmas dinner. I don’t care which way we do it because either way everyone helps and participates in the cooking. I think the key to being a good host/hostess and/or guest is to be gracious and kind, try to make those around you as comfy as possible, and for pete’s sake don’t expect to be waited on.

I LOVE entertaining but I don’t feel like our condo is up to par as far as how I want it to look so we’ll be visiting family this Christmas. I CANNOT wait till we have a house and kids though because then I’ll definitely be having everyone over for all the holidays. I ADORE entertaining!

BONUS QUESTION: We’re having our second annual Christmas Party at our house. My husband dreads it because our house is only 864 square feet, and we’re cramming just under 25 people in there like sardines! But we have a bunch of rooms to spread out in, tons of seating, and even an XBOX room for the kids to entertain themselves instead of talking to us boring adults about the “nothing” they did all day ;) I love hosting, but I also appreciate someone else taking over the prep-work and relaxing at someone else’s function as well!

We just bought our fixer upper of a house 5 months ago and have been completely transforming it ever since. We want as many people to see it as possible! This past week, we have been making this place a beautiful winter wonderland, and that mercury glass would fit in so beautifully in all it’s sparkly glory!

The mister and I will be at my parents’ for Christmas day, but we’re having a Holiday Housewarming party about two weeks before (celebrating the house we bought in August, which is just now barely ready to show off to friends and family). Everyone’s wearing their tackiest Christmas sweaters and we’ll vote for a grand prize winner!
