Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

Z Gallerie Holiday Prizes

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

Z Gallerie Our House

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

  • PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

We are looking forward to throwing our fifth annual Eve of Christmas Eve Party this year! It is always a highlight of the season for us. Lots of good food, a signature drink and we even break out the Christmas carol books for a good sing along!

We’re mostly being entertained this holiday season. I always like to bring a little something (and let the host/ess know it’s coming before hand).

I’d LOOOOVE to entertain. But that means that I would have to make some amazing table-scape and place settings, the whole nine. Unfortunately, as a newly-wed, I’m not financially stable enough to purchase all the lovely decorations I’d like! Best to go to the fam’s house right now.

However, I hope to entertain in the future! I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS!

I don’t think I’m hosting for the holidays, but am planning on have a wine and cheese party (as in, guests bring the wine and we make some fresh cheese together) in January. We live about halfway to Charlottesville, in the middle of nowhere, so my secret to being a good hostess is serving food that’s good enough people don’t mind the drive out!

We plan on going back to Chicago and visiting family for the holidays. I love being entertained as long as I can participate by bringing food or helping out. We do a white elephant and a $10 “good” gift. Happy Holidays!

Yep – we will be entertaining this year. Our annual progressive dinner – well, actually our crowd calls it the “Regressive” – it is way too much fun! The best part is you get to be a host and a guest all in the same night. Prepare as much as possible ahead of time and have everything you need – nothing worse than having to abandon your guests while you hunt something down!

    :)

I have always entertained for the holidays, until Hurricane Katrina. Now that I live apart from many friends and family, I do it on a smaller scale, and I’ve managed to gather up a small new collection of holiday decor over the past few years; shop the sales AFTER the holidays!!

No party plans this year since we just moved. I always think that being relaxed is the most important thing about hosting. No one likes to feel like you’ve exhausted yourself to have them over. But good food and drink are never amiss…

My husband and I are going to be traveling to both our families this holiday season. I think a good tip to being a courteous guest would be always to offer to help the host/hostess. Having a party can definitely be stressful and it always is nice when people offer to help out!

Z ME! I entertain at my mother’s house — that is, I’m in charge of the Thanksgiving table for her annual Thanksgiving dinner. I spend months planning for it, trying to make it better from the year before.
My only tip for being a good host/hostess is don’t forget to introduce guests to each other. I recently went to a party where I knew few of the guests and neither the host nor the hostess ever introduced me to anyone! Horrors!

I’d like to entertain at my house this holiday season. . . but don’t think it will happen. I’m having a January wine and cheese party instead. January and February are just so blah after the holiday excitement, so I like to entertain then. I’ll keep my decorations up until after the party, so that I don’t feel I decorated just for my pets :)

I love hosting people! One simple and easy tip that instantly makes a pitcher of water look really nice quickly is to drop some lemon or orange slices in the pitcher. Or some cucumber slices. A little weird, but it actually tastes really refreshing and looks so nice!
