Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

Z Gallerie Holiday Prizes

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

Z Gallerie Our House

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

  • PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

We have no plans to entertain, but we look forward to impromptu visits from friends and family. We’ll try to have fresh baked cookies on hand, and we’ll bring cookies along with us to friends/family get-togethers.

Esp the blues and silvers…Great tip..pick a few colors and use different pieces to set up your table. the few colors with go well together and the different pieces will make the table stand out. Being a matchy match isnt always the way to go! Be bold and different. think outside the box!

Z ME! As a lowly college student, I’ll be celebrating Christmas as my mom’s house. But I’m trying to start collecting some gorgeous decorations for after my fiance and I get married in June. These would be a perfect, simple way to start my hopeful upcoming role as hostess!

    ‘Z ME’
Despite the death of our daughter this past August, we are opening our home to friends to celebrate the season and her precious beautiful memory. It is not always easy to set aside the deep heartache we are feeling, but it is comforting when our friends come over and share their memories of SADDI. And those who didn’t know her get to know her through others. Christmas is a time for miracles and blessings, we count ourselves truly blessed by the miracle of love that SADDI shared with us for 13 1/2 years and even still as she shines brightly as a star in heaven.

I have no choice but to entertain at my house this Christmas since my parents are homeless. (Not the bum on the street kinda homeless.) My parents are building a new home and decided to save some dough and live with my husband and me. (yeah me!) I can’t say that it will be much different when they move out, since they’ll only be 1.5 miles away. (yeah me, again!)

As always I plan to have my annual cookie exchange, send holiday cards and diet really hard before I have to fit into my New Years dress.

Anyway I hope you all have a wonderful, wine filled holiday!

I love to host parties and holiday get togethers.

But when I am a guest, I love to find a beautiful serving dish (usually from Pier 1) and use it to serve my famous holiday cookies…and I let the hostess keep the serving piece as an extra little gift!

I love to entertain and to be entertained over the holidays! Two years ago, when my husband’s grandma was really ill, I offered to host Christmas dinner at our house. We did all the cooking, and it was much easier than I thought it would be! So, last Christmas, even though hub’s grandma had passed away several months earlier, we continued hosting dinner at our house. We enjoy it!

My entertaining tip is to have lots of special beverages on-hand, for kids and adults alike. From flavored coffees, to sparkling sodas, to a signature cocktail – make it special!

Z ME. Nine years ago we converted an old farm shed behind our house into a 30 X 50 barn complete with cypress siding inside and out. It has become our party barn and I have already had 1 gathering of 26 and I am having the community Christmas party this week with approx 50 people. I love entertaining in this space.

It’s been a long time coming… we ripped out our kitchen (and entire first floor) in August 2008… so we’ve been without an oven and many other modern marvels for quite sometime… some cabinets were hung last weekend… hopefully more this Sat!! We plan on having our first “big” party at our new house on NYE, that is, if I get my act together and send out the invites!!

I love decor that can be used year round and just glammed up for a holiday or special occassion with a new runner or setting something else beside it.
