Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

Z Gallerie Holiday Prizes

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

Z Gallerie Our House

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

  • PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

We love to host Christmas Parties! We did a Feliz Navidad theme a few times, which was a nice break from all of the traditional Christmas food. Now we’re hooked on tacky Christmas parties. They get better every year…. (i.e. the mobile-home gingerbread house from 2008)

I find the holiday season and the inundation of holiday parties to be a little too much for us all. I am holding off until post-holidays to have a party themed HOT DRINKS. It will be freezing out and I am making it my personal mission to offer heated cocktails and for the non alcoholic set, fancier intriguing warm beverages aside from your coffee, tea, and hot chocolate.

We missed hosting our third annual halloween party this year, so we are throwing our first annual new year’s eve blind wine tasting. The key is to have enough munchies to last the night and keep the music playing.

I want to entertain, but live in a tiny 3rd story condo…so I’m still waiting ’till the day I get to host my first big holiday! Until then, I’ll appreciate the getting entertained (but the perfectionist in me sometimes has a hard time with that!)

Z me!! My family and I are going to be spending the holidays at my sister’s house in CA. As a courteous guest, I always make my bed everyday, clean the bathroom before I leave, and empty all the trashes around the house. It makes my sister’s job a little easier when we leave.

Entertaining is a big part of this holiday season for us! We’re hosting a baby shower this weekend and having friends over for some Christmas celebrations. For the actual holidays though, we’ll head to the parentals, taking lots of yummy foods with us. Being a great hostess? I think just means opening up your home and loving on the people that are there with you. Oh, and great food is always wonderful! :)

This year we will be celebrating with my stepson, which is AWESOME, because we only get to have him every other Christmas, so this is a good year! We stay pretty close to home the years we have him, and usually host all of our local ‘stray’ friends who cannot for whatever reason be with family. Our family is all at least one time zone away, so no traveling for us, usually.

Although we’d like to be the entertainers, our little house and my huge family make us the entertainees each year, which has us running back and forth all over the state for the holidays – JOY. We try our best to always bring a yummy dish and have learned to leave our pup at home; even if he gets an okay to come over, some people, especially non-dogowners, are just not comfortable with the exhuberence of our crazy guy.
