Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

Z Gallerie Holiday Prizes

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

Z Gallerie Our House

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

  • PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

This year has been different. While we usually host a huge Thanksgiving, one of our members is very ill. This has caused us to cut back and focus on the core group, reexamine what’s important and truly give thanks for being together.

Z Me please. I will be going to Brazil this Christmas and New Year’s to meet and celebrate with my boyfriend’s family. To be a courteous guest I have been learning Portuguese for the last 6 months. Additionally, I am bringing small presents: shaving kits for the guys and bath and Body works mini for the gals. Happy holidays to everyone!

I love to entertain, but seem to always go overboard with food and stress, so being entertained is way less stressful. This year, I think we are being entertained by family but will probably have friends over at some point.

I prefer hosting, but this year it’s at the in-laws… so I’ll probably bring a delish appetizer – bruschetta… or some yummy Swedish cinnamon buns for a morning wake-up call ;)

Z ME Please! I love entertaining, and to me, the most important thing (aside from good conversation) is cooking for my guests. Cooking benefits everyone: I, of course, loooove the compliments I get when I put a feast out, and all of that food makes my guests feel welcomed. Good food and good wine- that is my motto for the holidays!

We’re hosting Christmas Eve, and expect quite a crowd. Every year we have the traditional Feast of Fishes – all seafood!

My best tip is to set the dining room table the night before, and lay out all the platters and serving dishes.

I hate pre-cooking, but will make certain items a day in advance – dressing for salad, stuffing for clams, the clam chowder, etc.

This isn’t a formal affair by any stretch, and we encourage everyone to just do what makes them happy. And we pass out lots of drinks. :)

I’m having a tacky Christmas party in a couple of weeks, which will be the first Christmas party I’ve hosted in my little house. Everyone will be decked out in their ugly Christmas sweaters, so it should be a good time! I am then headed from Oklahoma to California to spend a warm holiday with the family. :)

We love to be the hosts, but this year we will be moving so we are choosing to be the guests. When we do host parties at our house, the first thing we do is check with the guests to see if they have dietary needs and also see what kind of foods they like. Nothing worse than going somewhere where you cant eat anything!

We’ll be here there and everywhere for Christmas and will be hosting our first New Years party at our New Home!!! Anytime we host a gathering, we always try to have plenty of everything, snacks and a variety of beverages, the last thing we want is for our guests to feel they need to bring something. And most importantly, try to make sure everyone has a great time!

We will both be entertaining and being entertained, the holidays are a busy season! Whenever I host I try to be really organized and have almost everything done beforehand so I can spend as much time with my guests as possible and as little time as I can in the kitchen. :)
