Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

Z Gallerie Holiday Prizes

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

Z Gallerie Our House

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

  • PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I prefer to entertain during the holidays – the act of cooking all sorts of goodies, lighting a fire and giving small gifts to those who I love just makes me feel good inside. I never feel more in the Christmas spirit than when I’m entertaining in my home!

I love to entertain and be entertained. Last year my husband and I hosted 3 get togethers: a cocktail party, a brunch and then Christmas Day at our house! We alternate years for Christmas Day with the in-laws, so this is our year off which I should just enjoy, but I find myself getting the itch to entertain with some sort of get together … hmmm, I’d better decide in the next day or two if and what it will be!

We’ll be in the mountains with my inlaws this year. I’ve only actually entertained for 2 Christmases (no Thanksgivings) and I frankly don’t enjoy it. I think it’s more a factor of the homes we’ve had – our first didn’t have enough seating, and our second is too out of the way to be conducive to guests unless they stay the night. And 8 people overnight in our house is NOT comfortable.
*crosses fingers hoping to someday enjoy holiday entertaining*

I love hosting. We got Thanksgiving this year so Christmas will be at the parents’ house. The best hosting trick is to have lots of fun sample size bath accessorizes (shampoo, conditioner, lotion, bath gel, etc.) available to guests as well as big comfy towels ready. It makes staying over at someone else place that much more fun!!

I spend tons of time decorating my entire house with everything Christmas – and I love to share it with friends and family. Having everyone I love gather for food and fun and Christmas..this is not my favorite time of the year for no reason. Happy Holidays.

We prefer to stay home, but we love to bring host/hostess gifts to parties and dinners that surround the holidays. We tend to bring flowers, homemade snack mixes (which we pack in pretty packaging, or a great coffee-lover gift bag (filled with a few gourmet coffees and snacks that go well with them). We like to choose snacks that our host/hostess can enjoy the day after a party!

My husband and I love to entertain on Christmas Eve. Last year we had 34 including 14 children. We always make Christmas Crackers-the little packages that open with a loud pop- a part of our table decor on Christmas eve. Everyone opens them at the same time and puts on the silly hats inside and sings Christmas carols. Good fun.

Z ME! I love these items! They would match our silver/blue/white theme that we go with every year…from our tree to decorations, and even down to switching out our curtains and accessories- every area becomes a winter wonderland. A number of years back, we started having laid back, get-togethers with our local and out-of-town friends. It’s become a Christmas tradition that we all look forward to. It’s a great time to relax, have some drinks, and catch up during this busy time.

I would love to entertain, however we are the furthest away from our families (Rahway, NJ to Hershey, PA is a 3 hour hike for 20 people!) so we make it easy for everyone and go to them. Plus, we only have seating for 4 people in our house so that’s definitely an issue!

I love hosting – and I always try to do as much beforehand that I can so that I have time to enjoy my guests! All dishes down, food either in the oven or ready to go there, table is set, wine/appetizers ready to be dug into and coffee ready to brew! It is no fun to spend the entire evening in the kitchen!
