Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

Z Gallerie Holiday Prizes

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

Z Gallerie Our House

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

  • PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    Z ME!

I’ve got a full house this Christmas with the ‘rents and sis’nhub coming from out of state. A couple things I like to do for house guests are specific makeup cloths for the visiting ladies, and make sure I have all of the local visitor bureau info in a folder for peeps to peruse. I also had Thanksgiving here, and my sis-in-law brought iced coffees for the both of us to drink while I cooked and we talked. Best hostess gift ever!

Planning on hosting my first holiday party!

I bought some festive party crackers which I think will be fun placed on each person’s plate & a set of assorted jingle bells in assorted sizes for place cards (adding a name tag with ribbon.) Found both at Marshalls for a total of $15!

“Z ME!” We have hosted every holiday for 11 years, and for the first time ever I am not stressed, and actually had fun on Thanksgiving. I have finally realized the holidays aren’t about the perfect table, or the perfect meal, the holidays are about the people who join us.
So in the words of Dr. Seuss: “Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” Cheers! ~s

Z Me! We like to do a little of both, we’re having family over Christmas Eve and then attending several parties for work and with friends. I was just setting my holiday table scape today and thought a little bit of silver would be perfect! Those votives or hurricane would be great!

We’re spending Christmas with my best friend…she’s always been Aunt Linda to my kids and I can’t imagine a holiday without her.

My tip: if you’re bringing food to a holiday gathering, always spend the money and get a disposable container. That way, your hostess doesn’t feel obligated to find containers to store the food so she can wash your dish.

Z ME! Although we live in a condo, my fiance and I love entertaining during the holidays. It sounds simple, but we always ask each guest to bring something, whether it be a bottle of wine, a dessert, or whatever. Everyone wants to help, and this is a great and easy way for each guest to feel like they’re contributing something.

My husband and I live in the same city as his family so we get to go hang out with my family in another state for Christmas and I can’t wait (for a few days off work and a few days to be with those I love and miss!). I get really stressed out when people come to my house for holidays because I want the house to look perfect so these little pretties would make me feel a ton better about having folks over this year!

Z Me! We have an Open House on Christmas Day, which I love love love and we look forward to all year. All our friends who don’t travel or spend the day with big family gigs, come over. We have millions of cookies, gallons of wine and beer, the kids play with their presents. It’s very low key and relaxing. That’s my secret to entertaining: relax! Love your blog, and am a fellow Richmonder!

Z ME! I was just at the Gallery in question yesterday- and loved EVERYTHING! They have the most beautiful holiday stuff.

My Husband and I entertain all the time! I think the most important key to remember is to make sure everyone there will feel comfy! is there enough seating? Enough drinks and snacks- and to make sure there is something for everyone! Its always fun to have a theme to the party too. I like color themes- black if your Oprah, white is your Kanye…. heck why not purple. Just because its a hot color this year! What ever it is, have fun!
