Fab Freebie: Home For Z Holidays

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

Just as Holly guessed during last week’s winner post, our latest giveaway is indeed from our friends at Z Gallerie. They’re back after their much loved freebie last May to put a little sparkle in your holiday season. While the big Zee-G has tons of glittery items for your house, your tree and even your dining table, we somehow managed to comb through all the eye candy and pick out a collection of our absolute favorite holiday items. So here’s what this week’s winner will be snagging:

Z Gallerie Holiday Prizes

The Z Gallerie holiday prize pack includes: two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses. We love them because not only do they provide a touch of holiday glam to a dining or console table, you can even get away with breaking them out during the other 11 months of the year. And if they look familiar it’s because Z Gallerie kindly sent a set our way (and we whipped them out for this Thanksgiving decor post a few weeks back).

Z Gallerie Our House

So how do you get your hands on this sparkly set of holiday cheer? Here’s the 4-1-1:

  • PRIZE: Two ribbed Antique Mercury Votive Cups, a silver Antique Mercury Hurricane and a set of four Puccini Hiball glasses from Z Gallerie
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “Z ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …tell us if you plan to entertain people at your home this holiday season OR if you prefer to be entertained at someone else’s house. And either way, do you have any tips for being a great host and/or courteous guest?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, December 2nd at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: United States only
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

I would like to be the holiday hostess someday(and with the purchase of our new house, that might actually come true!), but my husbands parents usually are the ones inviting everyone over for the holidays!

LOVE mercury glass. You would think I would have some but I don’t.

We have an annual Christmas party but it is on hold this year due to a scheduled kitchen remodel. I think it’s important to let people bring something if they ask. It makes it more enjoyable for everyone.

While our very small apartment will certainly be cozy and festive this Christmas, we won’t be entertaining much. We’ll spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with nearby relatives, and then travel northward for a grand Christmas feast. Gourmet cooking? Yes please.

I would love to entertain the family over at my apartment, but since I’m the one who’s far away I generally am the one who is the guest. One of the best ways to be a great guest is to be open and not afraid to help out.

We spent the Thanksgiving Holiday away, and will probably play it low key this Christmas and New Year. I also enjoy nice cheese trays and a beverage before the festivities – really – some nice cheese and a glass of wine is incredibly relaxing around sometimes stressful holidays.

I love to entertain, but are limited on space in our current house. However, my main advice for being a fabulous host is to make sure that nobody feels left out-I hate seeing that-whether I’m the host or not. If not everyone knows everyone else, some fun introduction or ice breaker games are fun to get everyone interacting and find out what they have in common with others.

I love parties but if I have to choose a favorite location, I’d prefer having people over at my place. Your own house is always comfortable, you know you’ll like the food being served, and it’s nice to not have to drive home after a late night. I’d love to throw a Christmas party this year but as usual, I’m a procrastinator and will end up inviting everyone 2 days beforehand…

I love to have people over, but due to a year of incomplete rennovation projects, we don’t have everything 100% for guests. I think we will plan on something and I really enjoy makes a nice warm soup and have a white elephant type gift exchange. Last year we had a Bookmas, which included a book exchange among my book club friends.

Z ME! I love to entertain, especially around the holidays when the house is decorated. The best advice I can give to hostesses is to try to get as much done before your guests arrive so that you can relax and actually mingle with guests! Remember that it’s supposed to be fun!!

We will be having Christmas dinner at our son’s home, but we all bring part of the dinner. And yes, we will also entertain periodically during the season. I enjoy the decorating most.
