Fab Freebie: Going To The Chapel

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

When the folks from Two Paperdolls contacted us a couple of months ago about doing a giveaway (like they’d recently done on one of our favorite wedding sites) we knew it would be the perfect Wedding Week prize for you guys. Two Paperdolls – who are on the brink of launching a new e-commerce website with a whole new look – along with their sister site Louella Press are dishing out over $1000 worth of custom letterpress wedding (or party!) invitations. Amazing, eh? So all of you brides-to-be (or anyone else who just wants to throw a party) can cross one thing off of your to-do list.

Louella Pink Logos

If you don’t currently fall into the “engaged” category, go tell your nearest wife-to-be, mother-of-the-bride, or anyone else who is ready to give a killer engagement present about this fab little freebie. Or you yourself can use the prize for any other event or announcement that you’ve got around the corner (birthday party? baby shower? anniversary party? just-won-amazing-free-invitations party?). Louella Press designs gorgeous classic-yet-fresh invitation sets that are pretty much guaranteed to make an incredible first impression to any guest who is lucky enough to receive ’em.

We’ve chosen a few of our favorites here, but be sure to click over to Louella’s site to browse the full collection. Just note that these images show engraved invitations (raised ink) but the winner will be receiving equally-beautiful letterpress invite sets (which each include an invitation, envelope, rsvp card, and rsvp envelope). And if your event or announcement doesn’t need the RSVP card and envelope, feel free to convert it to a thank you card and envelope instead. Oh, and you’ll all be receiving an exclusive YHL discount on Thursday so stay tuned…

Louella Green

Here are this week’s full details:

  • PRIZE: 50 single-color letterpress invitation sets (including 50 invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, and rsvp envelopes) on your choice of either fluorescent white or pearl 110 pound paper, courtesy of Two Paperdolls and Louella Press
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “INVITE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since we’re talking invitations and guest lists, tell us whether you prefer a large family-and-friend-filled wedding or a smaller more intimate event- or maybe even a destination wedding with just a handful of lucky travel companions.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Our anniversary! (Wednesday, July 7th at 8pm EST)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: To the United States of America
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    INVITE ME!!

We actually had a fairly big wedding and now looking back I would have preferred a smaller, more intimate affair, even a vacation wedding! I would love to gift these to my amazing brother who is getting married next year.

INVITE ME! Our wedding was HUGE (over 400), but I would have loved a smaller event–getting to spend some quality time with all invited beats merely saying “hi and thanks for coming” to the masses!

I always wanted a small intimate wedding at my hometown church. However, my husband’s from a big Italian family, sooo….we had a rather large wedding at my hometown church. ;)

But, I’m entering for a friend who is having a destination wedding in Florida next summer!

Our wedding had around 150 guests – not too bad, but ideally, we would have gone even smaller, with just the people who mean the most to us. Still, no complaints – we had a beautiful day.

    INVITE ME!

We are currently planning our November wedding. We are having a small, intimate celebration with about 50 guests but I still wish we were having a destination wedding so that we could afford to go to a really nice place rather than spend money on a wedding with a short and local honeymoon.

My boyfriend popped the question on NYE and presented the most perfect ring on my birthday in May! We’re currently ‘on hold’ with announcing our engagement b/c his sister got engaged right before we did and is getting married in the fall.

We’re currently trying to decide on the ‘perfect’ wedding, though we’re leaning toward the smaller, intimate wedding.
We’d love to do a destination wedding, but we have immediate family members that can’t travel. I love the fact that you were able to have your wedding at home!

    INVITE ME!

My “wedding style” has changed a bit over time. When I was fresh out of college, I envisioned a massive, over the top bash. By the time I hit my late 20s, my dream wedding was a little smaller. Now that I’m in my early 30s and about to start planning my wedding, I want an intimate party with close friends and family.

INVITE ME! Family and friend-sized! And since my family and the man’s family are HUGE (read: divorce, remarriage and Irish) that means big… but fun :) Those invitations are so pretty and would make getting the beautiful letterpress invitations I pine for but can’t really justify on a 23-just-graduated-from-college-with-no-debt-but-now-saving-for-a-wedding-and-a-transatlantic-move budget about 100x easier…

I had a big wedding last year, but apparently it was not big enough because people still metnion that they wish they were invited. I think a (far away) destination wedding could be great too, and then you don’t have to worry so much about the guest list. You have the ultimate excuse!

INVITE ME! I got engaged in May of this year, and I haven’t planned a single thing, because we can’t decide between a small destination wedding or a huge party with our friends and family! I wish we could have a backyard wedding, YHL-style, but sadly, our neighborhood, house and backyard couldn’t deal with it. The only thing I DO know about the wedding? It will have fabulous invitations, hopefully letter-pressed! (This design/paper snob who used to work in printing can’t have anything less!)

I definitely prefer a small intimate wedding, even though I come from a gigantic family. It was important to the hubbster and I to really experience that day to its fullest with the most important people in our lives together…OUR PARENTS =] Looking back I do wish we would have had a gathering with our very closest family and friends to share the day with us, but that’s just another reason to throw a party!
