Fab Freebie: Going To The Chapel

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

When the folks from Two Paperdolls contacted us a couple of months ago about doing a giveaway (like they’d recently done on one of our favorite wedding sites) we knew it would be the perfect Wedding Week prize for you guys. Two Paperdolls – who are on the brink of launching a new e-commerce website with a whole new look – along with their sister site Louella Press are dishing out over $1000 worth of custom letterpress wedding (or party!) invitations. Amazing, eh? So all of you brides-to-be (or anyone else who just wants to throw a party) can cross one thing off of your to-do list.

Louella Pink Logos

If you don’t currently fall into the “engaged” category, go tell your nearest wife-to-be, mother-of-the-bride, or anyone else who is ready to give a killer engagement present about this fab little freebie. Or you yourself can use the prize for any other event or announcement that you’ve got around the corner (birthday party? baby shower? anniversary party? just-won-amazing-free-invitations party?). Louella Press designs gorgeous classic-yet-fresh invitation sets that are pretty much guaranteed to make an incredible first impression to any guest who is lucky enough to receive ’em.

We’ve chosen a few of our favorites here, but be sure to click over to Louella’s site to browse the full collection. Just note that these images show engraved invitations (raised ink) but the winner will be receiving equally-beautiful letterpress invite sets (which each include an invitation, envelope, rsvp card, and rsvp envelope). And if your event or announcement doesn’t need the RSVP card and envelope, feel free to convert it to a thank you card and envelope instead. Oh, and you’ll all be receiving an exclusive YHL discount on Thursday so stay tuned…

Louella Green

Here are this week’s full details:

  • PRIZE: 50 single-color letterpress invitation sets (including 50 invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, and rsvp envelopes) on your choice of either fluorescent white or pearl 110 pound paper, courtesy of Two Paperdolls and Louella Press
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “INVITE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since we’re talking invitations and guest lists, tell us whether you prefer a large family-and-friend-filled wedding or a smaller more intimate event- or maybe even a destination wedding with just a handful of lucky travel companions.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Our anniversary! (Wednesday, July 7th at 8pm EST)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: To the United States of America
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    INVITE ME!!!!!

We’re definitely going for the smaller and more intimate wedding, probably a guest list that won’t span more than 100 people, at most. We’d like our wedding day to be smaller so we can be sure to spend more time with everyone personally!

    :)

I think both large and small weddings in all kinds of destinations are just perfect … the most important thing is that the bride and groom have the people around them that are most important to them and enjoy their special day :)

    INVITE ME!!
My daughter just got married in May and we did a large (for us–400+ people) wedding. It’s what she wanted—I think you do what the couple wants—we just had to make choices that we may not have had to if we had only had 200 guests, but that was fine with them. They just wanted to invite all their friends and family—fun, fun, fun!

    INVITE ME!

    PRETTY PLEASE!

I’m planning my May, 2011 wedding right now. And, I want a small, intimate wedding. However, I’m torn as I’d lose many friendships and family connections if I opt for an intimate gathering.

My ideal wedding is on the beach in Hawaii with less than 40 guests. And, I began planning my dream wedding (I was a week away from putting down a deposit with the planning agency). But, my large family (close to 100 cousins and a minimum of 30 aunts and uncles) have threatened to rip me a new one if they aren’t all invited.

So, my dream wedding is on hold. And, I’m having a big, fat, New York wedding that will keep the peace. I could really use these invites.

The notion of paying almost $100 per plate for this large of a wedding and all of the other expenses makes me nauseous.

My fiance and I are planning a very intimate gathering to celebrate our marriage–approximately 60 people in my parent’s lovely, garden-filled backyard. We are working with a limited budget, and incorporating a lot of DIY projects, but it would be wonderful to offer beautiful, professional invitations to our guests. Many thanks for hosting this giveaway!

INVITE ME! When my husband and I were planning our wedding, I really wanted a small, intimate destination wedding with only our closest friends and family. My husband wanted a big traditional wedding with all of our friends and family. So we ended up having a big wedding, but with sweet, fun, casual touches. It was very laid back and relaxed and we had the time of our lives. It was a little bit of both and perfect!

INVITE ME!! We had a medium-sized weddding – about 250 people – but we both have large families and the rest were all friends who we really wanted to attend. I’m glad we did it that way – I love a dance floor full of people celebrating.

I’m all about the small and intimate events. Why surround yourself with a bunch of people you don’t truly adore? Most weddings I’ve attended have been packed with people who are strangers to the bride and groom or people they felt they had to invite to appease parents or relatives. I say go for quality rather than quantity!
