Fab Freebie: Going To The Chapel

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

When the folks from Two Paperdolls contacted us a couple of months ago about doing a giveaway (like they’d recently done on one of our favorite wedding sites) we knew it would be the perfect Wedding Week prize for you guys. Two Paperdolls – who are on the brink of launching a new e-commerce website with a whole new look – along with their sister site Louella Press are dishing out over $1000 worth of custom letterpress wedding (or party!) invitations. Amazing, eh? So all of you brides-to-be (or anyone else who just wants to throw a party) can cross one thing off of your to-do list.

Louella Pink Logos

If you don’t currently fall into the “engaged” category, go tell your nearest wife-to-be, mother-of-the-bride, or anyone else who is ready to give a killer engagement present about this fab little freebie. Or you yourself can use the prize for any other event or announcement that you’ve got around the corner (birthday party? baby shower? anniversary party? just-won-amazing-free-invitations party?). Louella Press designs gorgeous classic-yet-fresh invitation sets that are pretty much guaranteed to make an incredible first impression to any guest who is lucky enough to receive ’em.

Louella Orange

We’ve chosen a few of our favorites here, but be sure to click over to Louella’s site to browse the full collection. Just note that these images show engraved invitations (raised ink) but the winner will be receiving equally-beautiful letterpress invite sets (which each include an invitation, envelope, rsvp card, and rsvp envelope). And if your event or announcement doesn’t need the RSVP card and envelope, feel free to convert it to a thank you card and envelope instead. Oh, and you’ll all be receiving an exclusive YHL discount on Thursday so stay tuned…

Louella Green

Here are this week’s full details:

  • PRIZE: 50 single-color letterpress invitation sets (including 50 invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, and rsvp envelopes) on your choice of either fluorescent white or pearl 110 pound paper, courtesy of Two Paperdolls and Louella Press
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “INVITE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since we’re talking invitations and guest lists, tell us whether you prefer a large family-and-friend-filled wedding or a smaller more intimate event- or maybe even a destination wedding with just a handful of lucky travel companions.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Our anniversary! (Wednesday, July 7th at 8pm EST)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: To the United States of America
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

“Invite me!!” We are planning on having a relatively large wedding (150+ people). Its too hard to cut the list! Since we will be paying for most of it ourselves, any help (like free invitations) definately helps!!!

INVITE ME! Love all 3 types of weddings! Ours is a combination of all of the above. Its a destination in the since that we as well as most guests will need to fly in order to make it. It’s by the beach and the only people who live near by are our parents. We have a big family so it’s impossible to keep the list under 100. We expect that not everyone will be able to travel, so in the end, it will be a bit more intimate :)

    Invite me!

I just got engaged a little over a month ago and as I make plans for my wedding in 2012 (to save money and let my gentleman finish graduate school), I know that I want to have an outdoor wedding with 100 of my closest family members and friends. As for eating, that’ll be inside because I won’t share with bugs ;)

INVITE ME! i am engaged and planning a 600+ wedding. am i crazy? i think so. anyway, i love the idea of a small intimate wedding, but when you are marrying an italian and all your own family has lived in the same area for 100+ years, you kinda have no choice but to go big. so here we are!

    INVITE ME!

We did a sweet wedding just a few short months after getting engaged on a very small budget, so did not get very into a lot of wedding details past who/what/where/when/why, however…

We are planning a party in the (not-so-distant) future for when we pay off all of our student loans. It will be called our “green and black party!” (As in green for money and black for being in the black! No red allowed.) We’re working hard towards that financial goal, and would like to spend the equivalent of one month’s student loan payment on this party. We hope this will be our next big celebration!

I prefer smaller get-togethers, although having a large family makes that difficult! At big events, I always feel like I’m missing someone, and I wish I had more time to spend with each person.

Those invites are gorgeous, by the way, and I’d use them for an upcoming baby shower! :)

    INVITE ME!

Our wedding was technically a destination wedding, as it was held in my husband’s home town of Albuquerque, NM. (We were living in Los Angeles at time.) So we had a smaller celebration with about 70 guests.

    INVITE ME

I want a smaller, more intimate wedding. I like the idea of knowing everyone that shows up to the wedding and getting to talk to everyone there.

A friend of mine got married last year, and she planned two extra place settings at each of 7 tables so that she and her newlywed husband could eat one course at each table (yes, there were 7 small courses). It was such a great way for each guest to spend some time with the bride and groom on their special day, and also made every guest feel super important.

Best of both worlds– a small, intimate ceremony (maybe just the two of us) and then a huge reception with the whole family (and friends).
