Fab Freebie: Going To The Chapel

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

When the folks from Two Paperdolls contacted us a couple of months ago about doing a giveaway (like they’d recently done on one of our favorite wedding sites) we knew it would be the perfect Wedding Week prize for you guys. Two Paperdolls – who are on the brink of launching a new e-commerce website with a whole new look – along with their sister site Louella Press are dishing out over $1000 worth of custom letterpress wedding (or party!) invitations. Amazing, eh? So all of you brides-to-be (or anyone else who just wants to throw a party) can cross one thing off of your to-do list.

Louella Pink Logos

If you don’t currently fall into the “engaged” category, go tell your nearest wife-to-be, mother-of-the-bride, or anyone else who is ready to give a killer engagement present about this fab little freebie. Or you yourself can use the prize for any other event or announcement that you’ve got around the corner (birthday party? baby shower? anniversary party? just-won-amazing-free-invitations party?). Louella Press designs gorgeous classic-yet-fresh invitation sets that are pretty much guaranteed to make an incredible first impression to any guest who is lucky enough to receive ’em.

We’ve chosen a few of our favorites here, but be sure to click over to Louella’s site to browse the full collection. Just note that these images show engraved invitations (raised ink) but the winner will be receiving equally-beautiful letterpress invite sets (which each include an invitation, envelope, rsvp card, and rsvp envelope). And if your event or announcement doesn’t need the RSVP card and envelope, feel free to convert it to a thank you card and envelope instead. Oh, and you’ll all be receiving an exclusive YHL discount on Thursday so stay tuned…

Louella Green

Here are this week’s full details:

  • PRIZE: 50 single-color letterpress invitation sets (including 50 invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, and rsvp envelopes) on your choice of either fluorescent white or pearl 110 pound paper, courtesy of Two Paperdolls and Louella Press
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “INVITE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since we’re talking invitations and guest lists, tell us whether you prefer a large family-and-friend-filled wedding or a smaller more intimate event- or maybe even a destination wedding with just a handful of lucky travel companions.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Our anniversary! (Wednesday, July 7th at 8pm EST)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: To the United States of America
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    INVITE ME!

We keep going back and forth between the big wedding and just close friends and family. We’d love to get away with just some of our closest friends and have a destination wedding, but we know that would upset some of our family, it doesn’t help that both of us are completely indecisive.

INVITE ME! My fiance and I have pretty small families, so our wedding will mostly be our friends from all different stages (childhood, college, present) and areas of our life (college, work, etc.). We hope to keep the amount of people manageable–150 guests at the most. I’m having trouble coming up with a good design idea for our invitations so this would help out with some inspiration!

    INVITE ME!

I was so indecisive about everything wedding related that I decided to just invite my immediate family to my backyard for some very informal nuptials (notifiying them only days before). Needless to say, I don’t need wedding invites. My son’s birthday is coming up though, and I am looking forward to going all out this year, so these would be great for that!

My fiancee and I are trying to keep our wedding under 100 people, which I think is still a fairly large-ish wedding. I would love love love to win this giveaway and not have to stress about one more expense!

INVITE ME!!!!! When I get married, I’d love to have a beautiful wedding in a location that most of our loved ones could get to. Size does not matter as long as it is a great group of those who mean the most to us!

    INVITE ME!

On the 4th of July, we attended a wedding that was about 50 people. It seemed so intimate and perfect. I would have loved to have done something like this, but there was no way, with the size of our families. So we had 235 or something like that. It was still so fun and people still say it was one of the best weddings they have been to.

I would love to give this as a gift to my sweet babysitter who is all grown up and getting married next summer. She’s planning a garden wedding with about 150 guests and already struggling to figure out how to make an event lovely on a budget with so may guests! I hope I win :)

    Invite me!
I found your site last week and have spent (way too many?) hours pouring over the awesome posts. Unfortunately, I’ve missed all the opportunities to sign up for the amazing giveaways you’ve already done, but I’m so excited to have found you at the right time for this one. I got engaged a month ago and my fiance and I are trying to tackle full-time work, full-time school, wedding planning (paying for it ourselves), and apartment hunting (and the decorating decisions that will go along with it!). This site has already inspired some awesome decorating conversations, and what a perfectly timed (and great) giveaway to try for! Thanks for all your ideas and inspirations, we love the site!

INVITE ME!! I am getting married 7/8/11 in Key West, Florida. This will be a destination wedding because my fiance and I love to travel and it fits our personalities. I don’t have a choice of a small wedding because my family is HUGE. Close friends and family will put us around 200. 50 invitations would be a great start!!

INVITE ME!!!! My fiance and myself are planning a destination wedding for March. We decided on a destination wedding because we don’t want to stress about inviting everyone and their mom and their mom’s hairstylist to a hometown wedding (all the while paying for all these people). Plus, what could be more amazing then a weeklong vacation with all the closest people you love?! We don’t want our wedding to be a big expensive production afterall it’s one day and we’re more focused on our MARRIAGE than getting all freaky bride/groom zilla about a wedding.

INVITE ME!! – PLEASE!!! My fiance just proposed to me during Fourth of July fireworks over this past weekend, and it was MAGICAL!!! I was completely surprised, and overwhelmingly happy. :) I am madly in love, and we’ve known each other since we were little kids. My (soon-to-be!) cousin sent me this link because she loves anything related to weddings, and she knew that we had just gotten engaged. Thank you for the opportunity to enter this great contest!

“INVITE ME!” I do not like to be the center of attention, so I’ve been working on getting my partner to agree to dinner at a restaurant with only our closest family and friends. It seems like this plan, though, does seem to disappoint a lot of people… Maybe pretty invitations would help?

I had the smallest wedding possible (140) with as much family as I have, and it was perfect. I have been to all sorts of wedding and I like attending ones where the bride and groom are having whatever kind of affair THEY want.

I would love to win this give-a-way so I can gift it to my brother and his fiancée. They are getting married 7-30-11!

My wedding was right in the middle. When I was younger I used to want a huge wedding with everyone I’ve ever met! As I grew older (and a bit wiser) I realized how intimate a wedding really was and only invited the people I really wanted to share this event with and the people who I knew would keep us accountable and help us walk the road of marriage!

My best friend just got engaged and I would love to gift this to her!

INVITE ME! I am recently engaged (June 24th) and am planning my wedding as we speak! In terms of what type of a party I prefer – I LOVE big parties with great music, food, and drinks HOWEVER for our wedding we are doing a destination (colorado) with under 200 ppl. I am from Texas and the saying is true – everything is bigger in Texas – and I found that i would not be able to have a wedding with less than like 400 people without burning bridges so the domestic destination was the way to go for us. So exciting!!!

We’re getting married October 2nd, our 5 year anniversary. We are so stoked. We prefer things on the small side, having about 75 people total (including kids). I don’t think we could write a guest list over 100 even if we tried. But it keeps everything nice and intimate and people get to really know each other. =]

We got married in our home state of NH, but now that we’re back HOME in Asheville, NC, we’re ready to throw another party to celebrate with those who couldn’t make the trip!
