Fab Freebie: Going To The Chapel

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

When the folks from Two Paperdolls contacted us a couple of months ago about doing a giveaway (like they’d recently done on one of our favorite wedding sites) we knew it would be the perfect Wedding Week prize for you guys. Two Paperdolls – who are on the brink of launching a new e-commerce website with a whole new look – along with their sister site Louella Press are dishing out over $1000 worth of custom letterpress wedding (or party!) invitations. Amazing, eh? So all of you brides-to-be (or anyone else who just wants to throw a party) can cross one thing off of your to-do list.

Louella Pink Logos

If you don’t currently fall into the “engaged” category, go tell your nearest wife-to-be, mother-of-the-bride, or anyone else who is ready to give a killer engagement present about this fab little freebie. Or you yourself can use the prize for any other event or announcement that you’ve got around the corner (birthday party? baby shower? anniversary party? just-won-amazing-free-invitations party?). Louella Press designs gorgeous classic-yet-fresh invitation sets that are pretty much guaranteed to make an incredible first impression to any guest who is lucky enough to receive ’em.

Louella Orange

We’ve chosen a few of our favorites here, but be sure to click over to Louella’s site to browse the full collection. Just note that these images show engraved invitations (raised ink) but the winner will be receiving equally-beautiful letterpress invite sets (which each include an invitation, envelope, rsvp card, and rsvp envelope). And if your event or announcement doesn’t need the RSVP card and envelope, feel free to convert it to a thank you card and envelope instead. Oh, and you’ll all be receiving an exclusive YHL discount on Thursday so stay tuned…

Louella Green

Here are this week’s full details:

  • PRIZE: 50 single-color letterpress invitation sets (including 50 invitations, envelopes, rsvp cards, and rsvp envelopes) on your choice of either fluorescent white or pearl 110 pound paper, courtesy of Two Paperdolls and Louella Press
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “INVITE ME!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … since we’re talking invitations and guest lists, tell us whether you prefer a large family-and-friend-filled wedding or a smaller more intimate event- or maybe even a destination wedding with just a handful of lucky travel companions.
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Our anniversary! (Wednesday, July 7th at 8pm EST)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: To the United States of America
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    INVITE ME!!!!
I was just browsing invitations tonight! I’m having a destination wedding in Playa del Carmen, Mexico in November. We sent out save the dates a few months ago and have a pretty definitive guest list but I know I still need to send out real invites. I was planning on making them by hand but I’m running out of time – these would be PERFECT for me! I LOVE her stuff, what an amazing win this would be. Thanks for the chance – and Happy Anniversary!!!

INVITE ME! We had a small, family only backyard wedding and it was fabulous. I’m all for meaningful, family-oriented events, preferably on a small scale.

    INVITE ME!

Im recently engaged and we cannot decide if we should go to Hawaii or have a local wedding…Its a hard decision. Ive asked a lot of people who are married and there advise is to go away and get married, most say that the wedding really ends up being for other people. I just keep going back and forth. I definately need some invitations though!!

I prefer a “smallish” wedding like the one we had. We had 75 people and we knew EVERYONE there and had a chance to chat with all of them.

I keep going back and forth about my dream wedding. I know it’s going to be small but I’m not sure if I’d do a destination wedding or just a small wedding with friends and family.

I’m not married “yet” but my boyrfiend and I have been together 5 yrs and I have tremendouse faith that we will be engaged soon. We’re huge fans of Joel Osteen and I recently heard a sermon called “Sunday is Coming” where Joel talked about a woman and her husband who had been trying to get pregnant for years and she kept her faith. He told of a story where he was in a meeting and the same woman who also worked for him, mentioned something about having her assistant trained well “so when she goes to have her baby she has nothing to worry about”. Joel asked his sister who was also in the same meeting if she was pregnant; his sister informed him she wasn’t but that she had kept the faith for many years. That’s the way I feel about finally getting married. HOPE! The woman was finally blessed, not only with one baby, but twins, after many years of trying!

I love the idea of a wedding and reception where the bride and groom knows each and every person invited and enjoys their company. If that means small and intimate or large and over the top, then so be it. It’s their day. I prefer small and intimate with time enjoyed with each guest.

Congratulations on your upcoming anniversary! Ours is July 9th, but we have a few years on you – we’ve been married since 1978. But with a second daughter approaching marriage – we would love the invitation sets. I like smallish weddings – my oldest daughter had about 100 guests in attendance. My wedding was at my parent’s house on a lake with about 50 guests.

    I love your blog!

    Those invitations are beautiful!

We’re getting married next July and it’s going to be destination for everyone… down in a gorgeous garden in California. I’ve mostly been to small weddings and I think that’s more what we’d like to aim for (tight budget), but we’re both from giant close-knit Catholic families (Irish and Italian, what a pair!), so we’re having trouble figuring out how to get both family AND close friends within our venue’s 125 maximum allowance!

    P.S. Happy anniversary!

    INVITE ME…

I originally wanted something big (cause I have a large family) but I think I am going the destination route. Sort of selfish in away (don’t want to really invite some people) but it will be nice and intimate. I probably have some sort of reception at home later on for other people to celebrate with us.

These are amazingly gorgeous! My sister (who is currently living in Maine) is getting married to her Greek prince in Edinburgh, Scotland this autumn and these invites would suit her small wedding perfectly! A small intimate affair is so much more memorable and intimate…especially when it’s thousands of miles away!

    Fingers crossed!
