Fab Freebie: French Swimming

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Well now that we’re more than ready to find a pool to dive into, random.org has picked a winner of this week’s giveaway. The lucky lady is… Cher (who swims about 20 laps each day in the summer). Congrats!

One element in our new kitchen that always makes us smile is the etsy print that we purchased by Samantha French. Remember, the cheery orange and blue painting of the lady swimming (that Clara also sweetly though included some “fishies”)? Well now Samantha is giving you guys a chance to win your very own colorful work of art with a $200 gift certificate to her Etsy shop. So grab your swim cap and bathing suit because that’s enough to snag any of the 16 x 20″ archival prints featuring Samantha’s signature subject matter.

Samantha French Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $200 gift card to Samantha French’s Etsy shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “LET’S GO SWIMMING!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …are you a swimmer? Do you love going to the pool to do a few laps? Or maybe just to splash around (or lounge around)? Or are you and water not friends?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 28th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Samantha French.

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love to swim and I can’t wait until my son is old enough to get in the water. He already loves bath time so I think we have a little fish in our family.

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love to swim. In fact, I have high hopes of having a pool of my own one day. Nothing fancy…just a small pool that’s preferably saltwater. That would be nice!

I love the water, I told my hubby that if he gets his new fancy garage than after that is paid off I get my pool. And I dont care if I live in the Seattle area and it only gets hot enough to swim like 5 times a year. I’m getting it!!

I’m just a toe dunker kind of gal myself, maybe a floater in mid-July when it’s super hot, but my husband was on the swim team in high school (which I playfully tease him about from time to time). A hairy chested guy in a speedo and swim cap just makes me chuckle. Since you purchased and hung your print I thought for his birthday this year I should absolutely buy a print from Samantha! What an ode to his “prime” as he’s now in his early 30’s, right? I think so!

I do like swimming, but I am sort of a swimming snob. I will get in the ocean to snorkel, but not just to swim around. And if I am getting in a pool, the water needs to be really warm. Like, bathtub warm. All of my conditions drive my husband crazy.

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I grew up swimming at “The Rock.” It was the best swimming hole on the river and had a huge rock to jump off of into the water. Pools seem horribly dirty to me in comparison to swimming in a cold, clear river. I know most might disagree, but seriously… puddle vs. stream.

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I was a little fish growing up in the Midwest, where summers were hot and lakes and pools plentiful. Sadly, here in the Pacific Northwest, my kids are growing up rarely in the water. There’s just no excuse. Must get them in lessons this year!
