Fab Freebie: French Swimming

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Well now that we’re more than ready to find a pool to dive into, random.org has picked a winner of this week’s giveaway. The lucky lady is… Cher (who swims about 20 laps each day in the summer). Congrats!

One element in our new kitchen that always makes us smile is the etsy print that we purchased by Samantha French. Remember, the cheery orange and blue painting of the lady swimming (that Clara also sweetly though included some “fishies”)? Well now Samantha is giving you guys a chance to win your very own colorful work of art with a $200 gift certificate to her Etsy shop. So grab your swim cap and bathing suit because that’s enough to snag any of the 16 x 20″ archival prints featuring Samantha’s signature subject matter.

Samantha French Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $200 gift card to Samantha French’s Etsy shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “LET’S GO SWIMMING!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …are you a swimmer? Do you love going to the pool to do a few laps? Or maybe just to splash around (or lounge around)? Or are you and water not friends?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 28th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Samantha French.

    Let’s go swimming!
Ive been a swimmer as long as I can remember! I grew up going to our neighborhood pool in the summers with my mom and splashing around while she and the older ladies in our neighborhood did water aerobics. Then we’d all lotion up and lay out to get our tan on! I was the darkest skinned 6 year old white girl! Haha good times.

Let’s go swimming! Swimming has been one of my favorite outdoor activities since I was about 5 years old. I have a 12 year old lab who loves it as much as I do (and maybe more)!

    LET”S GO SWIMMING!!!!!
Growing up my parents teased me that I must be a mermaid who lost her tail. I was always in the water. I started on a team at 6 and didn’t stop until injury took me out of competing at 19. I was a lifeguard and still teach lessons occasionally. And still love the serenity that water brings to mind for me.

LET’S GO SWIMMING! When I was a kid, I was a little fish. You couldn’t keep me out of the pool. Now, I enjoy a dip every now and again…I know exactly what I want to do with the GC though, if I win. I have a little friend Emma, who swims competitively, and I know that she would love to have one of these paintings in her room!!!

I AM a swimmer. I love going to the pool, but mostly for a workout. An autoimmune disease gives me a bit of pain but the water workout totally helps. I may be young, but i’m not giving up yet! Thanks Samantha!

LET’S GO SWIMMING!I love a pool. I took swimming lessons every summer as a kid and I loved every second. It’s a great way to spend time outside when it’s too hot to do anything else. (I live in SC) The way the sun sparkles on the water, the smell of chlorine (which I love), etc…….

Water. Love to drink it. Love to sit by it – look at it, hear it’s movement… but I’m not so much of an in-the-water kind of girl. Maybe it’s because I can’t see without my glasses on… or because I’m not the best swimmer… or because I do NOT look good in a swimsuit. Let’s just sit by it and watch my four kids who think they are fish.

    LETS GO SWIMMING!!!

When I was little, I wanted to learn to swim. So my dad in his wisdom, told me I would know how to swim when I was 5 years old.

Well.. after blowing out the candles for my 5th birthday, I ran outside and jumped in the pool, nearly drowning.

When I managed to get out, I was PISSED at my dad saying “You told me I could swim!!!”,

and he replied “Well, you didn’t drown….”

    TRUE STORY!!
