Fab Freebie: French Swimming

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Well now that we’re more than ready to find a pool to dive into, random.org has picked a winner of this week’s giveaway. The lucky lady is… Cher (who swims about 20 laps each day in the summer). Congrats!

One element in our new kitchen that always makes us smile is the etsy print that we purchased by Samantha French. Remember, the cheery orange and blue painting of the lady swimming (that Clara also sweetly though included some “fishies”)? Well now Samantha is giving you guys a chance to win your very own colorful work of art with a $200 gift certificate to her Etsy shop. So grab your swim cap and bathing suit because that’s enough to snag any of the 16 x 20″ archival prints featuring Samantha’s signature subject matter.

Samantha French Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $200 gift card to Samantha French’s Etsy shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “LET’S GO SWIMMING!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …are you a swimmer? Do you love going to the pool to do a few laps? Or maybe just to splash around (or lounge around)? Or are you and water not friends?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 28th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Samantha French.

Let’s go swimming! Water, especially tropical turquoise water and I are very good friends! Especially when a pina colada is waiting for me after my soak!

I LOVE swimming! I used to be on a Master’s swim team before having my kiddos, I think teaching a child to swim is extremely important. YAY water!

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I LOVE her work — it reminds me of my childhood summers in Lousiaiana (where the only suitable outdoor place to be when it’s scorching hot is in water).

“LET’S GO SWIMMING!” …I love to swim! When I was younger I was a total water baby, it probably helped that I was born in July. Since then I’ve always been a little fish – and even swam in high school. I love doing under water flips and coming up to the surface feeling all dizzy. It’s a magical feeling, too, being weightless. I’ll swim in a pool or a lake but my favorite is the ocean. Body surfing waves is the best!!

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I love to swim; always have!

My mom’s brother drowned when he was 19, and so she was determined that me and my sister would be able to swim! We grew up with a pool in the backyard, lived at Sauble Beach on Lake Huron in the summers, and I was on my high school swim team! I’m more at home in the water than on land! :)

LET’S GO SWIMMING. The best part of summer is having a pool to jump into when you just can’t take the heat anymore. My kids will swim at any temp, but I prefer when the weather is hot! hot! hot! Otherwise, I can lay, stand, read, think, walk or run on the edge of a lake, a beach, a pool all day long. :)

LET’S GO SWIMMING! Samantha’s art reminds me of that first incredible splash when you first dive into the water. Cold bubbles tickling your skin. The shock of wet all over your body. And the cleansing feeling of covering your body with little wet molecules. Just like that first dive, her art is refreshing!! I would love it on my bathroom wall!
