Fab Freebie: French Swimming

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Well now that we’re more than ready to find a pool to dive into, random.org has picked a winner of this week’s giveaway. The lucky lady is… Cher (who swims about 20 laps each day in the summer). Congrats!

One element in our new kitchen that always makes us smile is the etsy print that we purchased by Samantha French. Remember, the cheery orange and blue painting of the lady swimming (that Clara also sweetly though included some “fishies”)? Well now Samantha is giving you guys a chance to win your very own colorful work of art with a $200 gift certificate to her Etsy shop. So grab your swim cap and bathing suit because that’s enough to snag any of the 16 x 20″ archival prints featuring Samantha’s signature subject matter.

Samantha French Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $200 gift card to Samantha French’s Etsy shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “LET’S GO SWIMMING!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …are you a swimmer? Do you love going to the pool to do a few laps? Or maybe just to splash around (or lounge around)? Or are you and water not friends?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 28th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Samantha French.

    LET’S GO SWIMMING!

I am a non-swimmer that has participated in 3 triathlons in the last 2 years (sprint distance). I seriously doggie paddle/side stroke/back stroke my way through it. I probably looked like a fool, but felt proud of myself for finishing.

    LET’S GO SWIMMING!
My boyfriend and I just recently moved to a house by the lake- we are eagerly awaiting the Summer weather so we can get out and enjoy the water. We both have grown up around the lake and feel truly blessed to have been able to enjoy everything that the water has to offer. The Earth is a magical place!

LET’S GO SWIMMING! Three years ago, when I was 35, I faced a lifelong fear of water, and swimming, and enrolled in an adult swimming class. The deep end used to make me hyperventilate! Today, swimming challenges me (3 triathlons under my belt), calms me (my moving meditation in weekly laps), and awes me (exploring oceanlife on vacations.) Now I can honestly say, “Let’s go swimmming!!!”

Except not today. It was 85 last Thursday but tonight with the wind chill it will be near zero ; )

I love to swim, love the water, love the reflection of light on water that’s why those prints are so great….

LET’S GO SWIMMING! Except not, because I can’t swim. I never learned as a kid because of my irrational fear of sharks in swimming pools.

LET’S GO SWIMMING! I try to swim laps pretty regularly and since I sprained my ankle, it’s the easiest way for me to exercise. That being said, it can be boring compared to running outside.

LET’S GO SWIMMING!!!! Seriously, I’ve been wanting to go swimming forever. I only got to go once this past summer! This 38 week preggo body of mine has been wanting to jump into a pool of cool water all winter long! I think I’m probably part fish! I can’t wait until this baby comes so that I can buy him or her a swimsuit! This summer I am definitely going to have to hit the pool wayyyy more than last year! (Wow! So many exclamation points in this response… sorry, I’m just super excited about this topic!) :)
