Fab Freebie: French Swimming

***This giveaway is no longer accepting entries – see who won below!***

Well now that we’re more than ready to find a pool to dive into, random.org has picked a winner of this week’s giveaway. The lucky lady is… Cher (who swims about 20 laps each day in the summer). Congrats!

One element in our new kitchen that always makes us smile is the etsy print that we purchased by Samantha French. Remember, the cheery orange and blue painting of the lady swimming (that Clara also sweetly though included some “fishies”)? Well now Samantha is giving you guys a chance to win your very own colorful work of art with a $200 gift certificate to her Etsy shop. So grab your swim cap and bathing suit because that’s enough to snag any of the 16 x 20″ archival prints featuring Samantha’s signature subject matter.

Samantha French Giveaway

  • PRIZE: A $200 gift card to Samantha French’s Etsy shop
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “LET’S GO SWIMMING!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: …are you a swimmer? Do you love going to the pool to do a few laps? Or maybe just to splash around (or lounge around)? Or are you and water not friends?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, March 28th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Worldwide!
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Samantha French.

I LOVE to swim – taught swimming for many years, as well as synchronized swimming… I still train lifeguards every summer.

I grew up as a river rat – in fact, my mom took me to the lake when I was just 2 weeks old with a little sunhat and swim suit. The rest is history, I suppose. I love to swim or just be near water.

LET’S GO SWIMMING!!Growing up, both sets of grandparents had pools and lived about 5 minutes away so I was pretty much a fish. Now a days I prefer to stay on the dryer side, but will jump in every now and then.

Let’s go swimming! I do like to swim but I kind of get bored quickly. I never know what to do when I’m in the water. Game? They’re all lame… Laps? I don’t want to exercise!

Ocean swimming is probably the my favorite since you have an actual mission (jump the waves without being pummeled).

    Let’s go swimming!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE water! Ever since I was a child I’ve been drawn to water. As a 3-year-old I desperately wanted to go swimming but hadn’t been taught yet. What I could do was diving. Gave my mum about 300 almost heart attacks since we were on holiday in Corse at the time.

My love for water never stopped (I’m a water sign, what can I say) but nowadays I prefer pools over the ocean and lakes since algue creep me out like nothing else.

I’m a Southern California splasher! I loooooover the water, but I’m not the most graceful swimmer…but that’s okay cuz I can stay afloat when need be and as soon as it gets warm enough, you’ll find me out in any water I can find – pool, ocean, stream, whatever!

I was a competitive swimmer in high school and loved it, but managed to destroy my shoulder and can no longer swim for a workout. Even so, I love nothing better than to hop in a river, stream, lake, ocean, or pool and splash around! And I LOVE her art!

“LET’S GO SWIMMING!” … I swam competitvely all through school and was on my varsity team. It’s been years, but I still get an adrenaline rush when I watch swimmers race on TV.

These pieces are so gorgeous that I might buy one for our bathroom, even if I don’t win. You guys mentioned putting oversized artwork in small spaces this morning. I wonder what that would look like? And I love the idea of putting water pictures near water-y places, like kitchens and bathrooms.
