We are currently on our way back to New York after driving down to North Carolina this weekend to throw my parents a SURPRISE 40th anniversary party. With the help of my sister-in-law, I’ve been planning this party for the past year.
About 60 people came from as far away as Florida and Rochester, NY and as close as their next door neighbors. A great time was had by all!

Just this weekend I finished clearing the backyard – tore out the deck (had helpful craigslisters pick up the old wood planks and concrete piers), raked the yard, and shoveled 3/4 ton of rock to the other side of the yard….all to make room for the new patio!
