FINN ME! I’m glad to be finished filing my father’s final taxes. My father died suddenly last October leaving me, his next of kin, to handle his final affairs. I don’t know exactly why I was dreading the taxes more than anything else. Maybe because of everything that has come along, it was the one thing I knew I couldn’t handle on my own. I mean, I know virtually nothing of tax laws. The professional tax office I hired was great. They took care of everything and when it was all complete, I felt silly for having put it off and worrying like I did. The build-up was far worse than the execution.

Put my first coat of turquoise paint on my nightstand last night at 2 am; finishing up today. Dialed down the colour a bit by adding some grey paint, loving the colour!! Just hope I can replicate the colour today when I do the second coat :). It is funny how ‘creative’ one can get with no sleep. Took me a week to decide between turquoise and grey…finally decided to combine them. Guess I should go have a look to see what it looks like in daylight. Wish me luck!!

I'm glad to have finished putting together my centerpieces for our wedding reception! We are getting married May 26th!
The centerpieces are straight, cynlindrical glass vases; half full of pea gravel and topped with moss. I stuck an artificial branch with yellow blossoms in the center and attached cute artificial birds in a few spots to add some wildlife! I made 18! *phew*

I finished removing all tile from shower and floor in my daughters’ bathroom. Was ugly brown and it will soon be light blue hex tile on the floor and white subway tile in the shower!! Can’t wait. My arm is exhausted.
