Fab Freebie: Doggone To Sleep

*** This giveaway is no longer accepting entries***

A couple of weeks ago we asked our Facebook fans to share pictures of their pets (since we talk incessantly about Burger) and got an awesome response – over 100 photos and links of their four-legged friends (which you can browse right here under Fan Photos). So we figured a giveaway geared towards your pooches (and meowsers) was in order. Enter AllModernPet.com stage right…

AllModernPet Web Site

AllModernPet.com is just one ofshoot of a slew of sites (like AllModern.com) that offer a wide range of products for us humans too, from Herman Miller office furniture to Murray Feiss lighting. But that pic of the Boston Terrier sprawled out on his dog bed had us at hello, so we present to you an AllModernPet.com pet bed giveaway. One lucky pet parent will win their choice of an awesome easy-on-the-eyes bed so their furry family member can sleep in style (and your pup’s “bedroom” can be as stylish as your own).

AllModernPet Dog Beds

Here are this week’s giveaway details:

  • PRIZE: Your choice of one dog bed from Bowsers, For The Dogs and Harry Barker (Rectangle or Round), any size and fabric you’d like (valued at up to $151).
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “DOGGONE IT!” and…
  • BONUS QUESTION: Tell us about the strange place(s) your cat or dog currently likes to fall asleep. Burger’s got a whole list of weird places and positions that he dozes off in, so we’re sure your pets have some kooky sleeping habits of their own.
  • CONTEST CLOSES: Wednesday, September 9th at 8pm EST
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One (well, two if you count the winner’s pet)
  • PRIZE SHIPS: Anywhere in the USA this time (including Alaska and Hawaii)
  • THE USUAL: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday. Good luck!

    DOGGONE IT!

The king charles loves to sleep under the bed and will dart in their as soon as he thinks we are headed that way. Or underneath my desk and will try to like your toes.

It would be great to have this bed to try to get him there instead of under my bed.

My Zoey currently loves to sleep in what used to be my butterfly chair, but it now has too much dog hair in it. It’d be nice to have my chair back.

In the summer, Cleo sleeps on my nightstand near my bed and in the winter, she sleeps in the bed and adores my electric blanket!

DOGGONE IT!! We have a small zoo in our home and they all have their share of weird sleeping habits, but Jekyll the Torti cat is the weirdest. If she hasn’t shoved herself under some sort of blanket, then she’s sleeping sprawled out on our wool rug. Problem is, she’s allergic to wool. So she rubs herself on the rug, sleeps on her back, points her belly skyward and sneezes for a good hour. While sleeping. It might be tragic if it weren’t so funny.

Our one year old Chocolate lab, Bode, loves to sleep anywhere and everywhere! He is about 90 pounds but loves to sleep on top of use if he can get away with it! When he was smaller he used to sleep in the window sill!

Doggone it!!! My pups would love this!! Our Boston Terrier always sleeps on the back of the ouch instead of actually on the couch (we call it his “princess pad). He’s not spoiled or anything!

My dachshund Milo is a strange one. The weird thing is that he chooses to sleep right between my legs at night! If I try to move him so that I can get comfortable, he growls. It’s so embarassing but funny! Our other dog, a sheltie, loves to sleep in my walk-in closet.

Dex has fallen asleep in the car with his whole body on the back seat and his head resting on the console (one ear up and the other down). We have a pretty sweet picture of it.

Both of my beagles like to sleep curled up between my legs, UNDER the covers.. They have, in the past, tried to be there at the same time. Suffice it to say it was a little crowded!

doggone it! my boston Macky bob will only sleep in my closet, wrapped in a blankie like a pronto pup. just the tip of his nose sticks out. often, you can’t even tell there is a dog in the bed except for the gentle snoring coming from the rolled up blankie.

I am going to be adopting a Golden Retriever soon, but for now, I just have my little cat, Perla.
Perla was named after one of my favorite students. It is spanish for “Pearl.”
Anyway, Perla loves nothing more than to burrow under my bedding and fall asleep. Carefully making the bed, complete with folded-in sheets and mountains of pillows atop the duvet does nothing to stop her little self from digging her way in.
The funniest thing about Perla is that she seems to be most comfortable when she is blocking my nose or mouth with her body. It isn’t enough to snuggle up close to me, she has to be SO close that I can’t breathe. Hmm, should I be concerned? :)

Our little guy, Crosby, has given up on his mushy dog bed purchased from a big box store and has taken up shop underneath our bed and sometimes on the short couch in our family room. A cushy, new bed in a cool design is just was Cros needs! Pretty please : )

My bulldog Coney will sometimes sleep on her back with her head dangling off the sofa, or in her crate after she’s pulled her blanket out (if it’s hot), but my favorite is when she sleeps on the sofa or in her bed with a toy tucked under one paw like she doesn’t want anyone stealing it from her.

My little Gertie, an eight year old rescued cocker spaniel, loves to fit into tight spots anywhere that’s near me…the funniest (and sadest) is when it storms she crawls inside the bottom of our open nightstand.

{doggone it!} our fury friend Lucy, an Australian Cattle Dog {aka Blue Heeler} has randomly started hiding/sleeping under our desk in the office…not sure why, but we sense that maybe because she recently lost her bff, Browndog, a Chocolate Lab. he was much bigger than her and perhaps its her sense of security to be under something!

Doggone it…can’t believe summer is almost gone! These beds would be perfect for our cats while they take naps this fall and winter. Our cats switch their favorite napping spots frequently, but currently one of them is enjoying snuggling up with the internet router! We think he likes it there because it generates a little bit of heat, creating a perfect environment for a cat nap!

Lately our feist can be found sleeping wedged between two plastic storage bins under my bed. He has a bed and a crate, but right now he enjoys being smooshed between the boxes. Go figure.
