Last winter we had a blast at the Richmond Craft Mafia’s Handmade Holiday fair (and later gave away some of our favorite finds). And when we caught wind of their Spring Bada-Bing event happening this Sunday we were all sorts of excited. So we worked with them to put together another craft-tastic, wholly-handmade, reeking-of-Richmond prize pack featuring some of the Craft Mafia’s most active members – and it totals over $350 in value! SPRING ME! The thing I love the most about this spring are all the free, yes FREE! Outdoor Projects that are in store. They have to be free, because we have two bathrooms to replumb and remodel, and it will not be cheap. So lots of moving plants, splitting hosts moving walking stones will be getting done this year. And I’m excited!

Best part of spring is seeing my plants and bushes and flowers pop up and the annual easter egg hunt I gave to 3 little girls that live behind my house.
I also invited a 2 1/2 year old little girl whose parents I had never met–so that was a nice ice-breaker.
I had just weeded and mulched and they found eggs in the bird bath, the bird feeders, in the tulips and in the drain pipes.

This year, my favorite aspect of spring has been it’s early arrival and being able to begin gardening in our first home. We live in a stark Philadelphia neighborhood with little greenery and I’ve been able to add lots of color and curb appeal to our twin home without any painting or physical alterations to the house itself. We cannot wait to begin our vegetable garden!
