Last winter we had a blast at the Richmond Craft Mafia’s Handmade Holiday fair (and later gave away some of our favorite finds). And when we caught wind of their Spring Bada-Bing event happening this Sunday we were all sorts of excited. So we worked with them to put together another craft-tastic, wholly-handmade, reeking-of-Richmond prize pack featuring some of the Craft Mafia’s most active members – and it totals over $350 in value! This past weekend, we went to Frederick Meijer Gardens in Grand Rapids, MI–the butterflies that they raise from caterpillars are in bloom this month! FMG lets them fly free in an enclosed garden where everyone can enjoy them.

This weekend I especially enjoyed having my brother around to help replace some lattice board and generally be all manly truck and tool having. The BF and I can muddle thru a project and come out with OK results, but watching my lil’ bro bang out projects (that would of taken us forever) in half an afternoon AND have them be professional quality (he’s a contractor)…awesomesauce.

The unseasonably warm weather has been AMAZING! Here in MN, it’s not unusual to have frost advisories all the way into May, so the fact that we’ve been wearing sandals already is incredible!
