Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! We’re moving into a new home in a few weeks and I already have big plans for the kitchen! Right now it’s fairly nice and neutral, so I plan on bringing in pops of turquoise (bowls and mason jars) and yellow (flowers).

Right now, my favorite thing is definitely buying bright flowers for my otherwise dark kitchen. Right now I have yellow daisies in a vase that have held up for nearly two weeks. :)

ADLER ME! I painted our kitchen a bold gold/yellow color and have a few red accessories (although, that could change at any time!) I need a new faucet so badly, my mother needs a new sink (and some color). This giveaway could help TWO houses!

ADLER ME!! I use color everywhere in our house! Lately it’s been a mix of turquoise, yellow and green just about everywhere. I try to have a mix of these colors in all of the rooms downstairs. Even if it’s just a big yellow tray on the coffee table or a green throw rug in my yellow bathroom. I’m loving that there are no more set rules in decorating!

We are in the process of picking out a bold new color for the kitchen. Possibly a nice golden yellow. We’ve always been shy about color in that room because it was so open to the living room. I’ve finally convinced the hubby to do it!!

We just bought a new house, not being able to afford a new kitchen, we got an old (but new to us) sink and faucet, painted our countertops a cream and then our cabinets a dark graphite. It actually looks way better than expected, for an old kitchen!

I’m not afraid of color in the kitchen….. I recently started collecting Fiesta dishware. I have a rainbow of colors and love each one! It makes my heart sing to open a cabinet and see all the colors and then pick which one suits my mood for the day. (Lemongrass for breakfast this morning!)

Adler me! My cabinets, backsplash, counters and floors are all light-colored (until we can change them) so I chose to add color on the walls. My kitchen gets a lot of natural sunlight so there’s a shimmery, bright yellow color that just glistens during the daytime and keeps the kitchen’s mood bright. There’s an anchor wall that has a brick red to offset the yellow and offer contrast to the eye. Colors are too exciting!

I love Jonathan Alder! I wish I could say we had color in our kitchen. I’ve been wanting to give it a makeover since we moved in. We have brown floors, brown cupboards and mismatching appliances (black, yellow, almond, white). It’s a lost cause to just paint the cupboards because they are so old! Anyway, the only color I have in the kitchen are the random flowers that I bring in and of course, the food! I love cooking.

ADLER ME! We’re planning our kitchen model on a house we’re about to close on. Kitchen will be white cabinetry with dark floors but the pop of color is going to be a turquoise blue glass subway tile that I’m so excited about. Through the glass doors, you’ll be able to see all the dishes glasses in shades greens & blues. I’m thinking maybe a Palmero Blue sink would be a perfect addition :)

So for not I am bringing a little color in with a new painting that has green apple colors in it, bright citrus-y yellow accessories and kitchen gadgets and colored glasses that show throught the glass door cabinets. A kitchen makeover is in my future!!!!
