Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME, please!!!!

I bring color by rotating the linens with the seasons/holidays. I would LOVE the aqua single sink – that would be an awesome pop in my vintage 50’s kitchen!!

My kitchen is white with apple green accents–my teapot, kitchenaid mixer, and various other knick knacks are all apple green. A fun, colored sink would really be the cherry on top!

Our kitchen is painted a cafe latte brown, with grey/black countertops that we did ourselves with epoxy grout (a lot of time, dust, and sanding). However, the decorations are completely Spanish style, bright colored jars, towels, etc. A colorful sink would fit perfectly in our kitchen!

ADLER ME! When we moved in our kitchen was a nursery-like baby yellow. After an unfortunate leak from the roof, causing a stain on the wall, we’re re-painting the kitchen a lime green (exactly the color of a lime!)

    ADLER ME!!!

Our kitchen is patiently waiting for its turn to get a makeover. With counters that are only 32″ high and brown, cream, mustard yellow and green having the loudest color argument we are looking forward to the colors having a conversation. The sink would be the perfect start of a new palette! Right now the only way we add color is flowers and dish towels, white only!!

ADLER ME! We are moving into a new place really soon, but we plan to put up some valances that will inspire a color scheme that we can use throughout the kitchen and eating area. The walls are painted sage green and we will probably just keep that for awhile, so I want to do something that is bright to bring some light and color into the space.

ADLER ME!! We are just moving into our new house so I’m doing chalkboard paint as my backsplash and painting our cabinets and countertops. Our countertops will done with speckle paint to achieve a granite look and our cabinets will be white with charcoal grey handles. We are having our new appliances delivered the day after we move it and we are so excited! We’ve never bought anything new (our old refridgerator was made in 1992, ugly as all get out, no ice machine and the lights didn’t work the entire time we had it but it was a trusty, old fridge that gave us 5 years of great refridgeration! :))

Hope you choose my family & I! We have a 15 month old and my husband is a police officer for our city. He is the hardest worker you’d ever meet so this would help us out so much!

We just bought a mid century house with no kitchen and are in the process of getting one put in (we don’t have your mad skills…yet). We are bringing color in by getting a big chill fridge in beach blue (have wanted one of these for years, but why replace a perfectly good fridge) and one wall will be key lime colored tile. It will be so bright and happy!

My kitchen is all about color! I have buttery yellow walls that pair beautifully with my “oiled soapstone” (or a laminate version) countertops and white open shelves. But the real star is my Azrock tile checkerboard floor in spearmint (an aqua-y green that matches my Martha Stewardt Blue mixer) and cirrus (a white tile with speckles of yellow and coral and spearmint). I absolutly love it!

In our last home the walls were neutral, but I’d bring in punches of color with paintings I created, dish towels, and random splashes here and there. In our new home, however, we have an intimidating mix of beige, drab 80’s cabinetry and poor lighting. We could definitely use a dose of inspiration a-la Jonathan Adler.
