Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME!

We painted the wall above our stove a dark navy blue, hung some white shelves from wall to wall, and then put our dishes on the open shelving. It keeps it interesting but yet still looks clean.

We just picked a new backsplash (white glass and stainless tile) that we hope will compliment our stainless and galaxy granite kitchen — and of course lots of flowers throughout to add a pop of color. Currently: 2 dozen purple roses and a beautifully colorful mix of farmer’s market flowers!

ADLER ME! We have color in our kitchen because the two smaller walls are painted a bright, cheery yellow! We hope to eventually rework the cabinets and paint them white, and get a new countertop. All our dishes are white, but I also have a few colorful vases and decorative bowls. I also use bright kitchen towels and mats :)

Our kitchen is currently mostly brown, with color only in the accessories. But we’re slowly talking about doing some reconfiguring and adding a tile backsplash which will give us the chance to bring in some happier colors! An aqua apron front sink would be amazing!

ADLER ME! We have a few red serving pieces out and I’ve tried to pick up that color with two small chevron rugs in front of the sink and stove. Contemplating some cool backsplash detail or even a paint job, but we’ve only lived in our house less than 3 months, so waiting to make any big design changes … but patience is a virtue I’m not sure I can have any longer!
