Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME!!!! This would be an epic addition to my kitchen!! I’m slowly bringing in hues of blue, mainly playing off my Martha Stewart blue kitchenaid, but I just got a punchy rug that has tons of fun color across the board, with a big fun floral pattern to top it off!

My harvest-gold double oven (contain your jealousy, everyone) brings a whole bunch of yellow to the kitchen, so I decided to go primary with a blue scale, red mixer and bright towels (and dishcloths I knit myself). The rest of the room is pretty neutral — dark brown cabinets and countertop (a “suede”-patterned laminate from 1970 — contain your jealousy, please!), white tiles and soft gray walls.

    Thanks!

Right now I’m rockin’ a yellow kitchen with a light blue ceiling, 80’s laminate cabinets (faux oak), and a festive yellow brick road linolium floor! But, I’m dreaming of a clean white kitchen with an apron front sink and pops of color that can be changed out as the mood hits me!

I’m still in the process of figuring out how I want my kitchen to look I love blues and greens but I also love pinks and yellows… So I’m not sure still. I opted for a neutral gray on the wall and white in the cabinetry and Cabrera on the counter. So my color will come from accessories and window treatments. Thanks!!!

When I moved into my house, I removed the doors from a few cabinets. On these new exposed shelves, I not only use dishes in my favorite color palette but I also use pretty, patterned craft paper and “wallpaper” the backs of these open cabinets. And since I only use tape to attach the paper, I can change it at will. :)
