Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! I haven’t gotten a chance to add much color to my kitchen yet, but I’ve been looking at some colorful tiles for a new backsplash, along with some much-needed new and brighter paint.

Love your website. I’m relying on fabrics and accessories to provide the pop of color. The walls and flooring are neutral, so I’m always looking for pretty colorful vases and wall art.

We added color to our kitchen by first painting the white cabinets a rich, chocolately brown and the countertops a blend of some earthy colors. The biggest surprise was our floor- the previous owners had put black andwhite peel and sticks right on top of the hardwood, so as a temporary fix, I painted large 24 by 24 inch squares of wood in bright happy colors and adhered them to the peel and stick. I’ve grown pretty fond of them, so it will be difficult once we need to refinish the floors!
    check it out :)

    alder me!

our kitchen has cherry wood cabinets (medium toned), medium toned cork floor, black granite and all black appliances. we searched high and low for just the right pop of color for our back splash tile and fell in love with one including gray, black and blue (not obnoxious blue…kind of moon-y blue).

it inspired us to paint the kitchen and dining room in that same tone of blue-which was scary at first but came out so beautiful. we used ralph lauren paint that has the sand texture in it for a really matte, textured look. (but it’s a pain to clean!)

    p.s. i want a blue sink!!!

    ADLER ME! (please)

We live in an apartment, so we have limited options in terms of big things we can do with color. I picked up a great little ceramic yellow cup at the goodwill to hold our sponges, which adds a great pop of color to the sink.

We just painted dining room/kitchen a yellow like yours. I am currently trying to find tile for a back splash and then convinceing my hubby to redo cabinets in either white or dark wood color.

ADLER ME!! Love that palmero blue in an apron sink with the purist fixture.

Yall’s blog is really a godsend when trying to redecorate our home. In our kitchen, we used a neutral on the wall to help the accent colors pop. My favorite way to ‘colorize’ is with top of the cabinet arrangements which change frequently. It’s a nice way to display collections you have. Our infatuation right now are globes.

    ADLER ME!

Just moved into our new house six weeks ago. Bought the house in our dream neighborhood… The kitchen leaves a lot to be desired! So although we haven’t even touched the overhaul that the kitchen so desperately needs I am trying to make it most cheery by covering the nasty linoleum of the galley type kitchen with a grey and aqua runner. I really want that yellow sink!

We actually subtracted some color! Our kitchen was a gross pastel green, and we painted it a beige-orange. We have added colors with things like art on the walls and towels. Not the most exciting answer I guess, but it looks a helluva lot better than it did with pastel green walls!
