Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

My kitchen is painted in creams and brown, but I add pops of color with functional colorful pieces on the counter, like my blue ceramic egg Carton I use as a jewelry holder by the sink.

The color contrast would be perfect as the walls are painted a “creamsicle” orange. My kitchen is stacked with color that induces happiness!

So that palermo blue is almost exactly the color of our enameled cast iron bathtub. When we remodeled the bathroom, we decided that blue was fine and we weren’t going to be the dumb people that got rid of a supercool high quality tub in the name of white fiberglass….so it stayed and I still love it. My hubs and I are currently designing our new kitchen, that we will partially DIY. In the meantime, I bring in flowers or vases of herbs from our garden to bring in lovely shades of green – and improve a truly ugly kitchen!

ADLER ME! My fiancé and I are closing on our FIRST house next month. The kitchen has white cabinets and light grey counter tops which is a great starting point for adding whatever color we want. It currently has a black porcelain sink that is scratched up and needs to be replaced ASAP! We haven’t decided on kitchen colors yet but we both like greens and blues so this would be the perfect start!

Right now the only splashes of color are with my dishtowels, some plates and other odds and ends. We are currently in the process of trying to makeover our kitchen and this would be such a perfect addition!! We’ve already painted our cabinets white and put new hardware on them, but we want to add butcher block counter tops and stainless steel appliances with a country style sink.
