Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! For the kitchen, we added a fun wallpaper border around the room at the height of the back-splash. We also put up some half curtains (I don’t know exactly what they’re called) and kitchen towels in the same color. Those were easy things that made the kitchen feel more at home.

    ADLER Me!

We’re in the midst of preparing our kitchen for an “aggressive refurbish” – new counters, cabinet pulls, paint, backsplash. We’re going for an amped up classic – the big stuff will be in colors we can live with for a while, but the art, accessories, window treatments, etc are our time to be a bit more experimental. A colorful sink basin and new faucet would be the icing on the cake!

My husband and I are about to move into our first home together (that we own!). Color will come from accessories to start with but I would like to experiment with some paint soon.

ADLER ME! Sadly, our kitchen is almost devoid of color…in contrast to the rest of our house because it is last in line for a DIY re-do. We currently have a bright green utensil jar and some green and blue napkin rings as curtain tie-backs…kind of sad.

HOT FREAKING DOG!!! What a crappin fantastic give away! WHAT??!!! man! thanks for the chance. Okay so color in the kitchen.. i just recently painted over my ORANGE kitchen walls. hummmmmm you say. YES! i loved it. however i change my mind with the wind blowing so i now have a creamy beige color on the wall with creamy white freshly painted cabinets. i have black granite counter tops so the only color i have now is a fabric panel i made to cover a couple of open shelves. i covered them because it is over the “office” are of the kitchen so no cute dishes and such in there. the fabric is cream and turquoise-ish

ADLER ME! Our sink is a cheap mess so would love a new one! Currently color comes into my kitchen through red walls and slate countertops. We have pine floors, pine cupboards and pine beams. It’s actually pretty but not the most functional. Thanks for the opportunity :)

Adler Me! We’re currently remodeling our kitchen with black granite and dark wood cabinets. It’s pretty neutral. But we plan on adding a splash of color with teal (with a greyish undertone) walls with pops of bright yellow accents. That teal blue sink would be perfect in our kitchen!

Alder me. We just moved into our first home and every room is painted the same dark tan color. While we will eventually repaint all the rooms, the kitchen is lowest on the list (the tan is somewhat doable there). But i add color with bright tea towels, flowers and tablecloths. We seriosuly need a new sink and this would be perfect. I just don’t know what color.

Wow, a heck of a giveaway. We inherited a boring but full of potential kitchen that is SLOWLY working its way towards “industrial farmhouse.” There is lots of color in it. Along with plenty of white cabinetry, we have blue-grey walls and a lot of colorful antique-y art and typography prints and a lot of light wood. A new sink would be the perfect incentive for us to finally do the concrete countertops I’ve been wanting :)
