Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

Adler Me! My husband and I are closet color freaks. I say this because if you stand in our kitchen you’d probably yawn. It’s dark, brown and dated. BUT if you peek into our cabinets, that’s where the magic is! We love our brightly colored Fiesta collection. It makes us Happy Happy when dinner is served and there’s a party (literally) on our table. The more color, the more mix, the BETTER. This is one hobby my husband and I share. We love finding old pieces; we love the hunt! But when we bring these gems home, they are placed in dark, brown and dated cabinets.

ADLER ME! our kitchen has been in various states of construction for two years. right now were stuck at base cabinets, new hardwood floors, and a happy yellow from laura ashley home. We’re going to embrace our swedish-ness and do a lot of dark blue accents, and also tie in a dark teal in the adjacent screen-porch-turned-fully-walled-library/mudroom. what a mouthful. i don’t have very many before pictures but i’ll take some during and after! y’all are such an inspiration!

We have yet to remodel our kitchen so we are slowly adding color and attempting to make it a little less country! We changed the paint color and have added a colorful vase and dish towels. I have a tiny kitchen in a dark room with a small window. I’m thinking of being bold and painting it black or charcoal with crisp white trim! It’s a dark space, why not celebrate it. I’m kinda afraid though. It will be really dark, I have medium toned cherry cabinets (like only 5) and a black refrigerator and black open shelving pantry, stainless steel stove and microwave with green accents and a few bits of white. Actually the Greenwich Green sink would look awesome in my space as I have accents of a similar green.

Adler Me! The only color we really have in our kitchen is my hand-painted artwork that I paint on “drink and paint” nights at the local art place. I have no place to put them, so I put them on top of the kitchen cabinets. We added a backsplash last year, but it’s neutral colored stone and glass… to go with our other neutral colored walls and counters. ;)
