After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

My husband and I recently moved into our first home (a fixer upper). So sadly it’s very bleak in here with walls at various stages of plaster repair. And in the kitchen wood studs, brick, and hardwood floors covered in adhesive residue. We can’t wait to get some color in here!

The color in our kitchen comes from a new paint color. It’s called Cinnamon Stick by Glidden and I love it! Especially since my husband told me “no more painting” after I picked the color, but surprised me by painting while I was out of town. Love him :)

…we shifted from an intensely bold-colored kitchen (think red walls) and lightened it up with a pale blue. accent color is a happy yellow and are slowly collecting pieces to bring it all together in vases, pitchers, appliances, etc. fun!

ADLER ME! Please! This is almost the exact color palette of my new kitchen. The kitchen is very white and gray. We kept the walls light but popped the door to the laundry room in chartreuse. We are loving it! A few turquoise towels and a grass green and white striped rug from dash and Albert! We miss our apron front sink from our last house….a hot colored sink and faucet would be great!

It’s all about the fresh fruit punchin up the color in my kitchen. I like to have bowls of grapes, apples, bananas sitting out ready to eat. I also found it’s a sneaky way to get my boyfriend to eat more fruit!

Right now our kitchen walls are painted a light green, and we have cute curtains that have different color modern looking flowers. We’re trying to bring in more accessories with color like towels, vases, anything. We got square white dishes so that we could bring in anything else we wanted in whatever color we wanted!
By the way, I love you kitchen. I try to figure out what my favorite thing is, but I can’t decide between those shelves and the penny tile backsplash!

Right now the kitchen is blah white and everything save appliances is about 60 years old — but not original to the house which is 85 years old. So our culinary creations definitely provide the most color.
