Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

Honestly, most things in our kitchen are white, with a soft lavenderish gray on the walls. It’s a small kitchen, but we’ve got an art piece on one wall that has lots of different colors in it – it’s the first “real art” I ever bought for the hubs.

That palermo blue sink would be awesome!

We have lots of neutrals in the kitchen and rely on countertop plants and flowers to add the color. Thanks for such a great give away!

Alder me! We rent so I made some curtains to try and coordinate with the color the homeowners have in the kitchen, nut I can’t wait to own so I can use pops of color everywhere! I have a red stand mixer so I’m excited to someday make a kitchen where it gets more of a spotlight :-)

We brighten things up in the kitchen with vintage Fiestaware on open shelving. In our next house I plan on doing an ombré effect with SeaMist pieces on the first shelf, greens on the second, and yellows on the third! Any one of these sinks would look sick with them!! xox

ADLER ME! My kitchen is desperately in need of a pop of color. It’s currently a mix of neutrals — light grey walls, cherry cabinets and floors, dark countertops, and stainless steel appliances. The sink in Annapolis Navy would be absolutely gorgeous complement, and help tie our kitchen to the adjacent dining room. Pick me! Pick me! :)

    ADLER ME!

My house is a farmhouse that was built in 1922, so we’ve got all of this gorgeous 6-inch wood trim. (That’s the upside. The downside is that we still have 1922 wiring. And plumbing. Um.)

Anyway! In the kitchen, I opted to showcase the trim (and six–yes six–doors leading off the kitchen) with deep, shiny cobalt blue paint. The walls are white, and then the metal base of the sink was gross and rusty, but we got our DIY on and painted it bright red. We’ve decorated with vintage red metal kitchen utensils, some random pops of teal, and a couple of white (spray painted) ceramic animals. Oh, and chicken artwork. It sounds like chaos, but it’s really this happy, shiny, very vintage Americana farmhouse feel, like you’re stepping back into the 1930s or 40s when you walk in the door. I love it.

I am very much into re-accessorizing my kitchen right now. It used to be all turquoise and orange. I loved it and it was very chic! It must be the weather because I have been wanting even more color! So now I’ve got pops of bright green and deep red and sunny yellow. I love, love love it! I think if I won a sink this amazing, I’ll be taking it with me when we move too ;)

We are actually toning down the color in our kitchen- it’s currently a sunny yellow, but we are painting it a muddy grey so the color can come from accessories. And, if I ever get around to it, we are going to use some funky upholstery fabric and I’m going to redo the dining room chairs in a fun color!

My kitchen is pretty neutral, with maple cabinets and a cool custom detailed laminate (sounds like an oxymoron, but it’s not.. and I hate granite)countertop. =) My colors are introduced with my dishes and bakeware. I collect LeCreuset bakeware in Caribbean and just love the pop it gives me.

So… a sink in Palermo Blue would be fabulous!
