Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

    ADLER ME! OOOooo, YeS PlEaSe!

Our kitchen is a work in progress. Bright Chevron pattern painted on the far wall with gorgeous vivid sea-glass tiles surrounding our kitchen back splash. Of course, with a beautiful bouquet of flowers for just the right touch of giggles to an energetic fulfilling kitchen!

I love this idea! Really, it never occurred to me to have anything other than plain white or stainless. Our kitchen is pretty devoid of color at the moment, but I am looking forward to painting the cabinets and stripping wallpaper/painting walls soon. Then it will be light and bright. Things to look forward to!

We add accessories, like a lime green fruit bowl, orange and lime canisters and a lime olive oil holder.
We just bought a new house with the most boring kitchen ever, so we’ll be trying out new ideas to add some extra color!!

Our kitchen is super white, in a rental apartment. We added a little teal kitchen rug, and wood table, and a hutch (and lots of kitchen stuff and plants), and it’s feeling pretty homey and nice, with just enough color.

Currently, my whole HOUSE is wood and brown tones, especially the kitchen with its faux-wood paneling, wood cabinets, wood windows, and wood back door. So, I am hoping to introduce color slowly by painting the back door a fun shade of either navy or a saturated teal.
