After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…
- PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! We just closed on our new home last Friday and the moving truck arrived on Monday with our stuff. So, right now, the only color popping anywhere is cardboard brown. Soon, we’ll have some fun pops of turquoise and greens brought in to brighten this place up. Love the color options with Kohler!

ADLER ME! We are currently renovating the kitchen of a foreclosure we just bought, and are loving the suggestions we’ve read so far. We’re still deciding what to do with our kitchen, but for now, the most colorful item in the kitchen are the countertops: tealish blue, 1970s era countertops.

ADLER ME! We are moving into our new house in a month, and our kitchen currently has black and white vinyl, cherry-brown cabinets, and black granite counters. The sink needs to be redone, so we’d love to add a bright pop of color to the sink, and then do a gray/white palette in the rest of the kitchen.
Maybe! :-) The whiteboard is open to ideas!

ADLER ME!! My apartment is from 1971 and I still have the original Brady Bunch brown faux wood cabinetry. So, when I moved in I decided to go with it and paint it groovy orange. My aqua strainer looks great against the walls, so I’d love to see what an aqua sink could do.

Currently our Kitchen is YELLOW!…so I’d say that’s color enough. ha ha But I think I’d like to tone it down a bit, and just add pops of fun, bright colors. =)

Please ADLER me!!! Our kitchen is a disaster and it would give us a great excuse to redo!
Michelle says
Alder me! Please!! We are in the middle of a less than $500 makeover of our kitchen. We need a new sink. This would take it to the next level! Our 1954 kitchen had 3 layers of wallpaper and pink & burgandy swirl plastic tiles up the walls. We have been working on toning it all done. Painting the tile white and dark gray the walls a nice blue/aqua color. The back door in the kitchen is a perfect red. I would choose the blue or the green sink. Oh I hope I’m the winner. I keep looking for a sink & faucet on Craigslist and everything I love is waaay over budget!

ADLER ME! My boyfriend and I are closing on our first house this week and I plan on bringing in color through appliances and little details such as napkins and placemats. When I got my first apartment, I started my ” red collection” by purchasing my red blender and my obsession with red appliances has been growing ever since. I believe that bringing in Adler’s bold colors will happily compliment my obsession and will give my new kitchen a modern and sophisticated appeal.
Jenn T. says
ADLER ME! There’s nothing like a big bowl of fresh fruit to the kitchen in the summer.
Sarah says
ADLER ME!!! Our kitchen is mostly grey and blues, but we have pops of lime green from some dishes on open shelves (gotta love those) and a painted expanding towel rack. we also have yellow and red in places too, and a line of colorful cookbooks over the sink. yes, the old, ugly, crusty sink that was here when we moved in. and we’re totally looking for a new one!

I’ve recently discovered your blog and love it! Our kitchen gets it’s pop thanks to my bright lemon yellow Kitchen Aid stand mixer and coordinating kitchen towels. We also eat and serve all of my colorful concoctions on a collection of Fiestaware in bright yellows, pinks, blues…whenever they’re on sale I try to snag at least a single plate in a fun new color.
Arlene OC says
Oh and I’d totally go for the single navy sink and the Cruette faucet. I have some other navy accents in the kitchen such as a collection of pottery made by a family friend.

ADLER ME!
My kitchen is very colorful by necessity — paint hides many flaws.
The laminate flooring that was original to the 40’s house has been painted a nice daffodil yellow and the base cabinets are two shades lighter.
Of course, I’d love a new kitchen, but the yellow makes me happy for now.
Nicki Parrish says
Adler Me! WE recently moved into a new house (well, new to us), and the kitchen cabinets are a golden honey oak (hate). I plan to paint the cabinets a buttery golden yellow, the island black, then I am gonna paint the walls a grey/beige color, and there is a little alcove with a glass door and two windows which I plan to paint an pretty greenish color. That is how I plan to bring color to our kitchen! I don’t know how that looks on paper, but I can picture it and I think it will look great! I usually can picture the end result in my mind and make it turn out just like that!
Doris Kelly says
Wahoo! Adler me with that gorgeous Palermo blue Riverby sink. We’re re-doing the kitchen in yellow with turquoise and red accents. We’re going to shock our drab 1940s kitchen back to life with color. Lots and lots of happy color. What a way to wake up in the morning.
