Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! We’re redoing the kitchen, which is laminate a la the 80s, and the most important thing is actually removing color. Since the laminate is all yellowed, we want to make it pure white again. Then we will add lots of color in the curtains and I am hoping to convince my mother to paint the insides of the cabinets with a surprise color (aquamarine?).

We tried to give our kitchen by painting the walls red when we first moved in (big mistake). We are gettting ready to re-do our kitchen in more neutral tones with pops of yellow, so this prize couldn’t come at a better time! Plus, I love JA!!

ADLER ME! Ah, I am so excited for this. I have been cooing over these babies for weeks now. My kitchen has a soft soft blue/grey color on the walls and my cabinets are (recently painted) white, but I love to add my color with fun kitchen accessories, pottery, napkins, an funky owl cookie jar. My husband and I registered for Le Creuset cookware in a few bold colors (turquoise, kelly green, navy) for our wedding, and I like to display them on open shelves. I’ve been freaking over these sinks and even did a little post about them over on my blog (http://www.lostandfoundstyle.com/apps/blog/jonathan-adler-should-design-my-life). #keepingfingerstoesandeyescrossed.

Adler me! Our kitchen was the first room we painted in our large rambling bungalow. I have a photograph of a work of art by the late Margaret Kilgallen, which inspired us to use a lime green and an aqua color on the walls. A yellow sink would look super sweet in there….

ADLER ME! I’ve lived with my kitchen for seven years – the oak cabinets, the “granny yellow” laminate countertops and the mint green walls. I would love to redo it using color in a more modern way. Those sinks are dreamy.

Adler Me! Our house is always changing! I still love though the color that we painted it 4 years ago-Mary gold yellow. It needs a total demo though. The cabinets are laminate off white with all different color off white appliances. The counter top and flooring are yet another shade of white. It is awful! So pops of color make the kitchen look so much better why we save to hopefully one day re gut the place:)

    ALDER ME!

Our kitchen is undergoing a (very) slow metamorphosis from a 1960s nightmare (wood paneling, horrid cabinets, and a totally useless layout) to something we can actually live with. Right now, the walls are painted a bright poppy red-orange, but I’m not entirely sure I’ll keep it that way. Maybe a new sink and faucet is just the inspiration we need! :)

ADLER ME!! I have a circa 1961 kitchen that we are finally remodeling. I haven’t made a final decision on colors yet, but if I had a sink that would make a statement like the ones pictured above, it’d sure be fun to accent with the backsplash and accessories. I’m leaning towards Greenwich Green or Annapolis Navy. <3 :)
