Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

ADLER ME! Our kitchen is so awful right now there’s barely any color but we do have a few flowers from the garden and a cute dog treat jar. We’ve been in our house for a year and the kitchen is on the long term list of to-do’s but we haven’t quite gotten there yet. We ddddddesperately need a new faucet as ours is always spraying us in the face, so winning this would be a godsend! Thanks guys for the awesome giveaways!

ADLER ME! Our kitchen has vintage marigold countertops. To make them a big more tolerable for the 21st century, we painted our walls marigold and our wood cabinets white. The color is cozy as well as cheerful. We can’t wait to REDO our kitchen soon and a new awesome Kohler sink would be perfect!

Sadly I have not brought any color into my kitchen – it’s still as it was when we moved in 5 years ago. Red walls, blue countertops, and white cabinets. *Blech* It is DESPERATELY in need of an upgrade!

We’re currently in the process of moving to a new place. In the kitchen we’re doing bright white cabinets and then we’re bringing in bright, citrus-y yellow on the walls.

My kitchen is currently a hot mess and overdue for an update. We are planning on painting the cabinets, new countertops and new flooring within the near future. A new sink and faucet were not even in our budget but for free we would be all about it. The pop of color I want for my kitchen is that amazing Picadilly Yellow.

I move into a new home (our first home) with my boyfriend in ONE WEEK! I have BIG plans for the new kitchen and all the ways I can liven it up and bring it from 1919 to 2012. I plan to bring in some vintage and industrial pieces but keeping a modern functionality! I would LOVE an aqua/teal colored sink to go with my blue mason jar collection!

We’re currently the tenants, soon to be owners of our house, so we haven’t put our stamp on it yet. The kitchen is painted a sort of basic slightly pastel green. I thought I would hate it but the room gets so much natural light that the green seems more vibrant and plays well off our travel photos we have framed.

New-ish house with sage green kitchen. So far, I put up some bold kitchen curtain (yellowish and apple with big orange flowers – much nicer than it sounds). I would love to repaint the green from the muted shade to a sunnier grass green. I’m dying for a new sink and faucet!!!

It’s still 1960 in my kitchen with a brown sink and awful cabinets. My next project is to brighten it up and one of these would be an amazing starting point! Right now the color comes from family photos hung in a straight and level pattern around the dining area and from my children’s artwork.

ADLER ME! We got cobalt and chartruese Fiesta for our wedding (almost 13 years ago) and that chartreuse has been inspiring me ever since. In our first kitchen I actually painted the cabinets that color. Now that we feel the need to have a more “grown up” kitchen (don’t ask me why) I have been adding lots of bright accents including a cute bicycle fabric on the kitchen chairs and my favorite item – a framed photo of the rainbow layer cake I made for my mom and father-in-law’s birthdays last year.

Currently, our kitchen is quite neutral, filled with tans, whites, and blacks. Our kitchen required a major DIY makeover right when we moved in a few months ago, and since I was super exhausted from that whole process, I didn’t trust myself to choose a color. I just went with the same neutral beige that the previous owners had used in every other room. One of those fabulous sinks would be a great starter piece to help us incorporate some color into our kitchen!

I have my eye on a photograph of a lemon under very blue water on Etsy. Our kitchen is primarily gray and white, but that photo ties in the citron and peacock blue colors around the first floor of our home.

My splash of color comes from a set of five little plastic bowls…made by my children from those little bead things that you melt in the oven. Yeah, found at a dingy old garage sale and I was sure it wouldn’t work, but now I have jeweled tone bling on my kitchen windowsill.
