After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…
- PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

Sadly, most of the color in my kitchen comes from my son’s toys scattered around the floor (that, and the odd dish towel thrown over side of the sink). LOVE this new collabo!

ADLER ME…we are going yellow in our kitchen!! Can’t wait!

The Boyfriend and I just moved into our own place, but unfortunately the landlord doesn’t let us do much to make it our own. I have been getting some beautiful colored plates and cups, though! Every little bit helps!

We just bought a new house and the kitchen is horrendous! I’m talking marble contact paper on top of wood paneling on top of 70s wallpaper! Plus…CARPET! eeeeek. A new kitchen is a must, and all that color would be a great start!
Amy J says
ADLER ME! We move a lot so I have tried a lot of ways to bring color into the kitchen – on the walls, in the backsplash…. but never the sink – would love, love, love it!
Shane says

Kelli says
ADLER ME, please! Because we have a tiny rental kitchen right now all the color comes from removable accents. But, we are buying a house of our in a couple of months and would be *delighted* with a brand new sink & faucet especially one so stunning!

ADLER ME! Right now I’m redoing my kitchen with pops of turquoise and yellow. I’m currently on the hunt for the perfect curtain fabric and I’ve got a ton of fresh artwork tagged on Etsy…just trying to decide what to choose!

I recently put a medium blue in the kitchen and would love to add a backsplash. My bathroom off the kitchen has a funky deep army green, and I love it!
Cheri says
ADLER ME! Such fun! Maybe I’ll give this to my daughter and son-in-law who are buying their first home. Or maybe I’ll keep it. Hmmmm

I’ve got fresh vegetables straight out of the garden all over my kitchen counters. Red tomatoes everywhere!
Mindy says
Adler Me! I am currently bringing color in to the kitchen on the walls, but my husband has promised to bring our kitchen into this millenium in 2013, so if I’m lucky my color will be coming from the kitchen sink ;-)

I’m adding pops of red in my kitchen — inspired by my red metal pasta maker (which admittedly, I have yet to use to make pasta…but it sure is cute sitting on the shelf!)
Erica says
ADLER ME!
Currently, the most colorful things in my kitchen would either be the pineapple wallpaper border left over from the previous owners, or whatever toys my boys have left in there…but we have plans for a really fun and colorful kitchen in the next year or two, and one of these sinks would look awesome!
Emily U says
ADLER ME!
Our kitchen is painted a neutral gray, so we bring in color with a painted blue back splash (there’s no tile so i just painted the wall space) and a plate collage of different sizes and colors hung on the wall.
Angela says
ADLER ME!
I was a little too timid to do a bright color on the walls so I went with a neutral. BUT I decided to kick things up by painting my breakfast table chairs a fun green and upholstering my bench in light blue. I am mixing these colors in with the accessories too, so a BOLD navy blue sink would be perfect!! ;)
Kat Wachter says
ADLER ME! My kitchen has a base of neutrals (warm yellowish beige-ish ivoryish), with cherry cabinets, but I’ve added in color in the various accoutrements. The accent colors are pear green, golden yellow, and red, in the form of canisters, dish towels, rugs, and a framed poster of a big, red apple. If I won, I’d totally rock the yellow sink. It’d be rad!
Rachel says
ADLER ME!
We just painted the walls a pretty cream color, but there aren’t any pops of color yet – we’ve been saving up to refinish the cabinets, replace the countertops and install a new backsplash.
Linds says
Adler Me! We have some blue and green accessories and serving trays.
Kristen says
Alder Me!
We would use the bright yellow sink for our basement bar, which is begging for a renovation! We currently have bright colors popping in our kitchen in random tiles in our backsplash.
jackie says
ALDER ME!
I have splashes of turquoise and and orange in my accessories(tea kettle, colander etc.). I think the Whitehaven in annapolis blue with the Purist bridge faucet would look amazing in my kitchen!:)
michelle says
alder me! i love bringing color into the kitchen with bright flowers
Stephanie says
ADLER ME! Sadly, I’m not doing a lot to bring in color at the moment. I’m putting smaller purchases on hold to save up for the huge kitchen renovation I’m dreaming of. At the rate I’m going it could be years…though having a sink already would speed things up a tad, right?
Amy says
ADLER ME!…I love to bring in some bright vases and wall art to my kitchen
Nickie says
ADLER ME!
We have mostly white in our kitchen and we’re incorporating red countertop appliances (like a coffee pot and red mixer)! We are looking to do a fun paint color on the ceiling!
Andrew says
ADLER ME! A gigantic Golden Retriever and flowers livens everything up.
Cody says
ADLER ME! I really need to add color to my kitchen – we’ve done a lot of work to it, but it’s gray walls, gray tile, white cabinets, white (old) countertop, and stainless appliances and backsplash. I love the turquoise!!
Ashley says
ADLER ME!
I originally added color to my house with deep dark tones, but now I find I am slowly switching them all to lighter and brighter colors.
Jess L says
ADLER ME! I use bright red hand towels to brighten up my soft gray kitchen :)
Amy says
ADLER ME!
Actually, my kitchen is very colorful! Turquoise walls and open shelving with lots of bright colorful dishes, it looks really fun and invigorating. It makes me feel creative and it’s the kind of space I don’t mind making a mess in while finding culinary greatness.
Lara says
ADLER ME! I want so much to paint my kitchen turquoise and white, and the apron sink in Rivenby with a Simplice faucet would be just the ticket! Adding in my red accents and changing out the cabinet fabric (in the doors) – perfection! Now if I could just get DH to agree to demo the section above the top cabinets!
Lauren M says
ADLER ME!!!
As we are currently renting, we aren’t able to paint. We have bright blue and green plates decorating the walls though, and are working on getting a curtain to match!

Do orangey oak cabinets and peachy-beige laminate countertops count as color? ‘Cuz that’s what I’ve got going on in my kitchen right now. Eager fora weekend to paint those cabinets white…
cjw says
ADLER ME!
Lately the pop of color in my kitchen has been from the tomatoes, the peaches, the nectarines, the zucchini…
(until they rot, that is. then not such a nice color)
Sara says
ADLER ME!!! We have brought color into our kitchen through accessories but are still waiting to start a renovation (including floors, painting cabinets, adding a dishwasher) and maybe a new sink :)
