After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…
Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.
And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…
- PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
- TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
- BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
- GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
- NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
- PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
- USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…
Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

To add a pop to my kitchen I use red accessories with a pop of white. My walls are a dark olive. I have used white milk bottles with a red flower and some small yellow flowers, a red painted pitcher and some white candlestick with red candles. As a few examples!!

We use personalized artwork to bring in color, currently it’s a canvas of our dog :)

Adler me! Our kitchen is very white (white walls, white cabinets, white trim, white doors), so I’ve brought in color with accessories. I’ve chosen orange and red accents, such as kitchen towels, cutting boards, serving spoons, placemats, etc. It looks really cute and can be easily changed to another color scheme.

Our kitchen is in great need of an update, it’s neutrality bugs me. But b/c the hubs hasn’t been willing to commit to anything crazy yet (I dream of grey/blue cabinets), we’ve brought in a pop of color in form of a wonderful yellow pie safe
Heather says
Adler me!! Our kitchen walls are a cheery yellow & we have some red/multi colored canvas print in the dining area. Our shot glass collection over the stove adds a variety of color as well.

When we first moved into our home 4.5+ years ago i immediately painted my kitchen my favorite color.. a tealish aqua color similar to the palermo blue. I adored the wall color but our oak cabinet have never looked good with it. Unable to do a complete new kitchen i recently gave in to the oak and painted the kitchen a complementary brown using all my teal/aqua accessories as accents. While the brown does look better with the oak.. i miss my bold color choice. It would be dreamy to win the Riverby colored sink.. so much so i would have to banish the oak for good and get new bright white cabinets to match… ah, it would be a dream kitchen!!!!!!!!

I like to keep fun paitings and switch them around in the kitchen. Lots of fun, bright, unique things.

ADLER ME! We are in the process of updating our kitchen right now. I’ve found that artwork and accessories are my favorite “punch” of color. When I get bored and want a change, those are the easiest items to switch out without having to do too much labor or spend much money.

Awesome giveaway – thanks! Our cabinets, appliances, and walls are pretty neutral, but we have a pretty green rug and some colorful wall art. We do, conveniently, need a new sink/faucet since the ones that came with our house are practically begging to be put out to pasture.

My kitchen is mis-matched at the moment and stuck in a state of limbo as we can not decide the direction to go. However, we just picked up some great ideas from Jonathan Adler based on this blog post. Thanks for the recommendations!!!

I have one wall painted red in the kitchen. I am trying to bring pops of aqua in now using a vase and a few dishes. But a sink in aqua would be gorgeous!

Color in the kitchen makes me happy. I painted the top cabinets creamy white, bottom cabinets olive green (to offset the weird gold/greenish countertop), light yellow walls, and salmon on the floor to ceiling cabinet. I mixed my own light pink color to go on the wall of the open shelving where the white dishes go. Sounds like a bit much, but it works and always makes me smile.

Alder me! Bright colored rugs. Easy to add and change whenever the mood hits me.

ADLER ME! I want to incorporate more gray as a neutral with tangerine orange and aqua accents.

This is so great because I’ve been trying to add color into my kitchen and know the yellow sink will look fabulous!!! The way we added color to our kitchen was with two small posters I framed from a Picasso art book I had. These frames were original in my bedroom when I was single, then went to the guest bathroom and now are placed on the counter of the kitchen.

ADLER ME! OMG these are gorgeous, i want me a new sink like that, those colors are amazing. Currently I have a blue color kitchen and I love it. Blue is my fav color. I have colorful curtains that I think bring out the cheerfulness and however I wish my kitchen was brighter, I only have two small windows that some day will change one into french doors for more like and access to the backyard. It would be great to win this giveaway.

We’re renting right now so our kitchen is white with brown cabinets. The windows ledge are filled with plants. That’s our only color, then there’s the occasional splash of red spaghetti sauce before it gets cleaned up.

ALDER ME!
We have LOTS of color in the kitchen. We used a painting that sits over the mantel as the basis for our color palette. Our walls are rust colored, our accessories are bright and we used our cabinets to provide the more neutral component.

ADLER ME!! My kitchen totally lacks color or any interest at all. It’s my least favorite part of the house & the part I’m most anxious to revamp.

ADLER ME! Our kitchen walls came a pretty green color. But I love to use color by our bright Fiesta plates, bowls, mugs, cups etc. Made in the USA too which is the best!!
Katie says

My kitchen is very brown…brown tile, brownish granite, tan walls, oak cabinets. My blue teapot is about the only happy and/or colorful thing in there and the deep blue sink would be a perfect partner for it!
Mia says
ADLER ME! We painted our walls a bold blue – electric sea blue I believe. It totally works because there isn’t a lot of wall space in the kitchen, it’s mostly taken up with cabinets and appliances. So the bright blue really pops where it is.
