Fab Freebie: A Splash Of Color

*** This giveaway is now closed – see who won below!***

After quite a color-filled few days here on YHL, random.org has selected our winner as… Daffodil (whose kitchen gets almost zero natural light, so she painted it a cheerful bright yellow). Congrats! And I think we have an idea of what color sink you might be choosing…

Jonathan Adler has been a big inspiration to us lately, especially as we learn to embrace more color in this house than our first one. And as excited as we were by his new color-filled collaboration with Kohler, we were even MORE excited when Kohler agreed to give one of you a new kitchen sink and faucet to the tune of nearly $3,000 in value. So what’ll it be? Do you want the poppy yellow apron sink for your kitchen? A cool aqua double-sink for your basement wet bar? Or maybe a deep single sink in navy? The choice is all yours.

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway

And since a sink isn’t much good without a faucet, Kohler’s gonna let you choose from three of their favorite styles in any available finish: the Purist, the Cruette, or the Simplice. Whatever choice you make, something tells me that doing dishes is going to be a lot cheerier around someone’s house very soon…

Kohler Jonathan Adler YHL Giveaway Faucets

  • PRIZE: A new kitchen sink from the Kohler Colors Featuring Jonathan Adler collection, plus a new faucet. A potential prize value of nearly $3,000!
  • TO ENTER: Comment on this post with the words “ADLER ME!” and tell us…
  • BONUS QUESTION: … how are you currently bringing color into your kitchen? Did you pick a bold paint color for the walls? Do you like a vase of fresh flowers on the counter? Or do you often find that the most colorful thing in your kitchen is your latest culinary creation?
  • GIVEAWAY CLOSES: Wednesday, July 25th at 8pm EST or at 10,000 entries (whichever comes first)
  • NUMBER OF WINNERS: One
  • PRIZE SHIPS: The United States (although we do try to wrangle as many international giveaways as possible)
  • USUAL STUFF: One entry per e-mail address is permitted. The winner will be selected using random.org and announced on Thursday as an update to this post. That’s right, come right back here on Thursday for the announcement of our winner. Good luck…

Note: We aren’t paid or perked for hosting these giveaways, we just do ‘em to thank you awesome folks for stopping in. See our Giveaway FAQ page for more info. Pics courtesy of Kohler.

We’re remodeling our new home and currently the only color in sight is via the place settings, out the window at the mountain view (we live in a ski town) or through to the dining room where there are chairs apoholstered in plum fabric…I am SO DIGGING the navy sink and it will really pop once we get the kitchen cabinets refinished :)

We brought in color by painting the walls a warm mocha java brown. Our kitchen gets a LOT of light, so the walls look like a happy cup of creamy coffee. We still need to update our cabinets and beige floor and counters, but it’s a start.

I put up embossed wallpaper behind my open cupboards. And painted them a soft turquoise. Thus, the turquoise sink would be so pretty!

ADLER ME!!! I love color, especially greens and purples and my kitchen utensils and dish towels make that show! I currently live in an apartment with original appliances in light pink!! But I’m helping give my boyfriend some ideas for his horribly 80’s kitchen. A splash of color with a new sink and faucet would be perfect to get his kitchen remodel started!

Our coffee pot and our favorite cooking pot (a 5 qt Le Crueset) are both red, while the rest of the room is pretty neutral. (The rest of our house makes up for it though.)

Our old house was painted a beautiful barn red – no other color needed :-) This house is still a boring beige – so my “color” comes from my pottery on the open shelving the hubs built for me! Wall color yet to be determined….

It is perfect timing for this since we are in the process of getting new countertops, sink and faucet. Our kitchen has pops of color from vintage fruit crate labels that we framed and hung on all of the walls. Actually, any of the colorful Kohler sinks would coordinate perfectly!

ADLER ME!! In our old kitchen we had orange walls with black and white accessories (sounds very halloween-y, but in person it was fantastic). In our new kitchen we decided to tone things down a bit. We went with a very light grey so we could make the accessories pop with color. That way if we change our mind on the color scheme we won’t have to repaint the whole room (open floor plan = a lot more paint!). I’m picturing colorful colanders filled with lemons and fun hand towels and a vase full of beautiful flowers.

Adler ME! Right now, there’s not much color at all so we’re trying to decide what color to paint the walls. Everything is new (refinished before we moved in) and fairly high end, so we don’t want to get new cabinets or countertops.. Though I suppose we could paint the cabinets! Though the hubby would probably NOT go for that! :) Choose your battles… He would love one of these fantastic sinks, however!
